pepitillo
Hello, I was trying to install macOS 15 update on my 10th generation i5 hack and its not going very well. No matter if I update directly from Software Update (first time test) or from an USB thumb, the installation gets past the firsts phases and it gets stuck on the last phase Apple logo (no estimated time showing). On the other hand the mouse pointer is showing and can be moved over the screen. I have waited up to 2hrs. I wonder if it has something to do with login window not kicking off. The recovery environment for 15.0 is installed and functional, I have also tried to install the update from it, but no avail. My hack is i5 10th generation + RX580 and Sonoma is working very well on it. I can provide you my OpenCore config.plist if you want. Do you guys experienced that on your installations ever ? Maybe waiting for 15.1 or going trough the beta can work. Thanks. Edited Tuesday at 02:47 PM by pepitillo

I have attached a vanilla EFI Folder based on an iMac 20,1 model for you to test. If successful, you'll have to furnish the config.plist with the usual data i.e S/N, ROM and UUID. Plus configure to your preferences after. Also if your current Mac model is not based on a 20,1 Mac, you'll probably have to remap the USB ports and remove the InjectAll.kext. Good luck. If you reach login, remove -x.

Just need change SIP to <data> <850A0000> For Clover I use <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x0A87</string> Or <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x0A85</string> After run VoodooHDA and restart with Opencore and check if works, some guys noticed that its possible came back original SIP <03080000>
Max.1974
Download the tool aprimorated, in VoodooHDA post above, but its better if you try compile your own kext. Double click on blue icon, give password and after create packages, run only VoodooHDA.pkg, give permissions and restart. * * Remove AppleALC or eventually another VoodooHDA kext from EFI and AudioDXE driver, before run pkg. Sonoma 14.6.1 working without issues but afte the update to Sequoia I have a KP in rhe ACPI. Using bott arg CPUS=1 it boots well (after applying OCLP 2.0.1), with Wifi/BT enabled, but with only 1 core it's practically not usable. I've seen that CpuTscSync.kext has been updated with commits adding sequoia, but the latest release is still 1.1.0. Could someone compile the latest code please? I'm not skilled on that. Maybe that is the solution... thx test with the updated Bootloader as well as all kext VirtualSMC must be the latest version of Dortania here it was resolved with a new installation and now you no longer need the args cpus=1 even though it's HP

Entering the password has no effect, it keeps forever the charging icon after entering the password, I see HD being used until some moment but it stops later. I have tried without -x after, and I have the same situation. I will try to compare the EFI files you jointed. Thanks

I tried but no luck. I didn't even know I have a problem since PC was wired until I tried to go with WiFI. As soon as I enable IOSkywalkFamily.kext I get that "can't perform kext scan: no kext summary" , regardless if OC-Patcher is installed/uninstalled or if patches were applied or not. I attached my config, if that helps. config.plist
miliuco
@Irish_Man In the OCLP guide there is a section about this KP, I don't know if it is useful for you: Quote Kernel Panic Cannot perform kext summary Generally seen as an issue surrounding the prelinked kernel, specifically that macOS is having a hard time interpreting the ones we injected. Verify that: Your kexts are in the correct order(master then plugins, Lilu always before the plugins) Kexts with executables have them and plist only kexts don't (ie. USBmap.kext, XHCI-unspported.kext, etc. does not contain an executable) Don't include multiple of the same kexts in your config.plist (ie. including multiple copies of VoodooInput from multiple kexts, we recommend choosing the first kext in your config's array and disable the rest). Note: this error may also look very similar to Kernel Panic on Invalid frame pointer. About your EFI Try with the recommended SSDTs (SDT-AWAC.aml, SSDT-EC-USBX.aml, SSDT-PLUG-ALT.aml) instead of ACPI.aml (only to see if it makes any difference) I guess that you loose Eth if you disable AppleIGC.kext, right? With this kext disabled, can you enable W-Fi kexts without KP? With this kext disabled, VT-D enabled in BIOS and disabling Kernel > Quirks > DisableIoMapper in config.plist Without AirportBrcmFixup.kext, can you enable W-Fi kexts without KP? Does the Wi-Fi works? Do you need csr-active-config= EF0F0000? If not, try OLCP default 03080000. STLVNUB
I Have Annoying Bug, That's Probably Attributed To The 15Year Old iMac I Am Using The Bug Is, I Drop A Picture Onto Photos, And It Doesn't Display It, Actually Doesn't Display Any Of My 20000 Ones. Maybe Updating The Dgpu In It May Fix The Problem Just Wondering If Any Of You Hackintoshers May Have Had This Proble, ( I Highly Doubt it )
miliuco
@STLVNUB Do you have Metal support in the GPU? Because OCLP devs say that "Note that the Photos app is broken on non-Metal Macs".
deeveedee
@Irish_Man Thank you for posting your config.plist. This is why I said it was impossible (for me) to diagnose your problem with just a screenshot of your Kernel > Adds. I think you know a problem, so I'm only going to give you a hint and let you solve this. You are trying to overwrite Sequoia's IOSkywalkFamily.kext with an older version of the kext. What is missing from the Kernel > Block section of your config.plist? 1

Ha, 15 year old dgpu, I Highly Doubt It, Replacing It With Slightly Younger One Will Probably Fix Issue While I'm At It I'll Replace i5 With i7 Which I Already Have, If It Works Ok May Double My Ram To 32GB As Well Thanks For Your Input

Irish_Man
@miliuco Thx bud for all suggestions but what can we say after @deeveedee's post How did I miss that part? I have no idea. Is there a newer version of IOSkywalkFamily.kext? The one I'm using is working fine on my main build so I used that one. SavageAUS
Not sure if it’s macOS related or OpenCore but I have installed Sequoia release on a HP envy 8th gen and it runs great but it won’t boot from internal EFI after copying from USB. It just gets stuck at exit:bs log etc. booting the exact same EFI from USB works flawless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
