You need to type this first

sudo -i

Type in root# your password and then

mkdir /Volumes/efi

sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk4s1 /Volumes/efi (you need to put diskXsY when the disk is X and the partition is Y)

No luck at all, sir.

@คริส1111 ได้สร้างแอปที่ทำให้ขั้นตอนต่างๆ ง่ายขึ้นมาก ดูโพสต์ก่อนหน้านี้ เรียกว่า Drop-EFI

I tried it, sir. It said it was a malware virus. No matter how I pressed it, it didn't work.

It must be opened. Check Finder/Settings to see on desktop

Thank you. I have everything open, sir. Now I can't do anything with EFI. I'll go install Sonoma to get EFI settings first. 😅

does anyone tried using fakesmc with seqouia ? i dont see any new build after 12/2023 ?

FakeSMC and Clover don't  need update like Opencore. And you can compile on your system.

Use Xcode 14.5 on Sonoma with Command Line Tools.

cd ~
mkdir src
cd src
git clone --recurse-submodule https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader.git
cd CloverBootloader
./buildme

https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader/wiki/Building

Choose 2) build all (Default Toolchain)

Clover EFI and FakeSMC.kext will be compiled in Home > src > CloverBootloader > CloverPackage > sym > CloverV2> ThirdParty > other > FakeSMC.kext

Try use this command on Terminal (need drag and drop app inside Applications folder )

/usr/bin/gktool scan /Applications/DropEFI\ Installer.app

(before you run need drag and drop with mouse EFI-Drop.app on your Applications folder)

Alternative you can run this command:

xattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DropEFI\ Installer.app

Good Luck

hi have you tried deleting library preferences systemconfiguration and delete NetworkInterfaces.plist and preferences.plist and reboot????

By the way your config seems ok with the kexts you have...

does OCLP do the patching for modern wireless???

I have deleted those files today and rebooted with no changes.

If I undo the root patching and redo the patching it does say it will patch for modern wireless.

The strange thing is at the login screen it "appears" as if the wifi is connected but after login i am not and cannot connect.

(ก่อนที่คุณจะรัน ต้องลากและวางด้วยเมาส์ EFI-Drop.app ไปยังโฟลเดอร์แอปพลิเคชันของคุณ)

Hello, it won't work.

How can I remove this menu from the taskbar? I tried to exit but it wouldn't.

Hi

An issue ?

Where did you see an issue in my post content ?

I've trouble understanding your comment.

I've been using this feature (the one I posted) for a long time without any problems.

The aim was just to shown another tool, and who want or need it ask for it.

Regards

@naiclub - Do you want to remove the Application entirely?

If that is what you wish, here is how to do it - Finder/Applications.

Find the App Icon then right click, then click on the option 'Move to Trash' then empty the Trash.

Reboot, clean NvRAM and that will get rid of App and Icon.

I hope that is what you meant.

Good luck.

Even older build works better than OC101.

Menumeters fails to load with OC101 boot, loads and works fine with FakeSMC.

For those wondering what's going on in Sequoia and partition mounting,

FSKit is the new framework introduced in macOS Sequoia that enables the developer to provide custom filesystem support from user space. The document is almost non-existent at the moment so here  my command is a sample project to show how to use the framework. :wink_anim:
