[pre-release] macOS Sequoia

Evening folks, is there something obvious I overlooked as to why the RC update isn't showing up (The rest up to now have been fine)?

I also can't seem to find IOSkywalkFamily.kext 1.2, the location as mentioned by @deeveedee still reports as 1.0?

EDIT: I reverted back to my backed up EFI (Before I made recent changes) and the update showed up, now need to compare between the two versions.

I apologize for the way that dialog evolved.

No worries my friend, already forgotten and no need for apologies, we are IM family.

Just incase some are still doubtful of 'Hand Off' to iPhone Camera working wireless.

Here is a sample of mine in operation.

PS - Example posted not very good, I will redo and post a better result. Sorry.

PPS - Depending on if I have the correct Video format, here is the example.

Spoiler

@D-an-W  Jump back a few posts to see what others are saying about  IOSkywalkFamily.kext.  It appears that the kext is updated for Sequoia, but the build number hasn't been changed.

So I have now successfully updated the iMac late 2013 (see my signature) to Sequoia 15 RC Build 24A335.

With OCLP 2.0.0 I also achieved full graphics support for the nVidia GTX 780M (4GB) and WiFi also works,

but that wasn't really that important.

If I had a lot of money I would donate 1 million dollars to the OCLP team.

But as it is I can only donate 100 euros for the really first class work.

I wouldn't have had to buy the used but good Mac Mini 2018 with i7 Intel processor for 400 euros.

Under the same EFI, 'Hand Off' to iPhone Camera on Sonoma works fine, but on latest Sequoia iPhone does not appear in the menu bar. Latest IOSkywalkFamily.kext 1.2.0 with OpenCore 0.99.

The only difference is OCLP 1.6 nightly on Sonoma and OCLP 2.0 nightly on Sequoia. What should I do to fix this?

Same here, everything else related to iPhone/Mac is working fine but FaceTime camera. It doesn't appear in the menu bar.

Only when wired is working.

Thank you, I did go back a few pages but maybe not far enough!

The only difference I found in my EFI folders were an update of OC, general kext updates and two kext additions (CpuTopologyRebuild.kext & SMCRadeonSensors.kext), would you know which of these might cause the latest Release Candidate to not show up at all?

This maybe nothing at all but I noticed your posted example in top left corner says OpenCore 1.0.1 (DEV) and the ...../User/Downloads/EFI.... says OC 1.0.2 (DEV). Trying to create the same scenario I put a sample of my EFI Folder in my Download Folder and got a different result to yours (see my example).

Not that I am saying you're wrong, just seems peculiar to me. Getting back to fixing the RC problem, try disabling CPU kexts one at a time (If you can boot without them of course).

After disabling, reboot and clean NvRAM and see if RC is offered after.

If you're patching with OCLP, maybe revert the patches although you would still get RC but the larger download.

Good luck.

Yes, all synchronized. With speedstep.

Could you share your config.plist of OpenCore because my LGA 775 must add cpus=1 to boot at macOS 15.0 otherwise it always got KP. Speedstep was enabled at BIOS and no such an issue at 14.6.1.

Sorry you're having a hard time.

My Card is the Fenvi T-919 Combo WIFI and B/T card.

Attached is the Hackintool readout for the Card, plus OCAT's display of kexts used and arrangement.

Hope they help in some way.

Good luck.
