cankiulascmnfye
As I said earlier, the method from the Macrumors forum link is OUTDATED, since the source code changed since then. Just use the pre-compiled installed from the development branch!

If you don't add the corresponding "NVRAM > Delete" key to your config.plist, you may need to Clear NVRAM (or reboot a few times) whenever you make a change or addition to NVRAM > Add.

miliuco
@eSaF This happens when you try to install a version reserved for internal use by the developers themselves, what I don't know is why that is the version you have downloaded, the developers use a version they are working on and it has a password so that it can be used only by authorized people. 5

Others who provided their nightly build steps have provided the work-around (as is the case in the links I provided). It's something that we may continue to encounter until there is an official release. Edited September 2 by deeveedee 4

Terrascale is not yet supported. I saw in the last nightly OCLP, that they start to work on. You can try, but you should bypass the protections. eSaF
3 hours ago, STLVNUB said: I May Be Wrong, But Worth A Try, password As The password Actually I did try with my P/W and it carried on without errors but on reboot patching was still offered. That is not normal, plus Reverse Root Patch was greyed out meaning no new patching was done. @miliuco and @deeveedee explanation to my query is more understandable which is, the latest nightly version availability is for insiders and serious testers hence the decryption code. Installation is doable as @deeveedee explained but a few hurdles has to be overcome before install. I can wait, no rush as everything is running quite smooth on my machine as Beta limitations allow. Thanks for the idea though. Cheers. Edited September 3 by eSaF

Last time I broke something it was the SMC controller firmware on my 2011 iMac last week. After a High Sierra update, I only got a beep code (3x short, 3x long, 3x short)). Never herd those from an actual Apple iMac. SMC firmware was bricked but somehow was recovered it on its own by just waiting until the screen turned back on.
