big bartl Posted May 31 Share Posted May 31 When I connect my display with an HDMI or a display port cable I have regular micro freezes for half a second each 40 seconds (approximately) even if the system is idle. The simplest way is to move the mouse in circles. When I connect my display with the DVI port or in the case of the RX 6600 with a display port to DVI adapter my system is running smooth. No freezes at all. Unfortunately I do not remember what was the starting point of this issue as at the beginning of my setup (RX 5500) I could not remember to face this. I have tried this with a RX 5500 TX and a RX 6600. I changed the resolution for my screen. I tried to change my symbios (currently running iMacPro1,1). I have done Mac OS updates (OSX Catalina, OSX Ventura, OS Sonoma). I switched from clover to open core. All of these setups behave in the same way. It does not matter - the only fix is to use DVI - unfortunately it does not support 4K and I have to connect line out via the audio jack.
