REVENGE Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 Unlike soft leaks of news, rumors, and Leopard, it seems that Apple's HQ in Cupertino has been the victim of a physical leak as well. Early Wednesday morning at around 12:55 A.M., somebody noticed there was water coming out of the wall in the building. It was later determined that the leak was coming from a broken pipe under the complex, which leaked water at a rate of 100 gallons per minute and flooded the building with over a foot of standing water on the building floor before the pipe was shut off at around 2:30 A.M. Cooked some toast, put on the peanut butter and oops dropped it on the floor. Of course it landed peanut butter down, leaving a mess on the floor. Neither are that interesting to people that aren't directly effected. Actually, if there was seriously a *foot* of water on the floor, it could temporarily affect operations in an interesting way. We don't know exactly what Apple stores on the ground floor, and while it's doubtful any data loss occured (backups FTW!), it is possible they will have to relocate some of their outfits. Perhaps Mash should fire me, along with the bosses of other news sites like "TheInquirer" or "CBS" or "AppleInsider" or "CNet News" respectively firing their news team member who posted this same story too... lol J/K. I know this isn't really "news", just a random tidbit to poke fun of... As a CNet News reader pointed out: "Not a news story, and doesn't pretend to be one -- it's fine." Maybe Bill Gates blocked their water pipes with old chinese food in a futile attempt to ruin Apple's development of Leopard. Maybe Steve Jobs took a big **** and it got stuck.
