What about the one and others I pointed you to on GitHub?

Doesn't Work, Reboots

Edit:

Wonder What Has Changed in 14.4?

@STLVNUB - Here is a desperate idea on my part.

Try my OC EFI Folder from my MSI Board as a test and see what result you get.

Completely Off Topic

I Had A Venture Installed And I "Updated" It To 14.4

Needless To Say, It Didn't Boot

On Same 1TB NVME Drive I Had A Smaller Partition With Monterey

I Just Restored Monterey OVER Ventura LIVE

Now End Up With 1TB Monterey

I Didn't Think You Could Do This Live

I don't get it, you can boot Monterey but Sonoma won't!!!!!!!

Long shot here and clutching at straws, did you insure Misc/Security/SecureBootModel is set to Disable for Sonoma?

Your predicament has got me really puzzled and bewildered to say the least. :frantics:

I'm Using Clover As OC Reboots

Doesn't Explain How I Was Able To Install Any Version Lower Than 14.4

Seriously, is the bios set correctly?

This is also my suspicion and question.

I wish there was a short/easy way I could port my MSI BIOS Settings sequentially so he could compare with his own.

There is no rhyme or reason he should be struggling still with all the working EFI examples offered.

I tested OCLP 1.5.0 nightly build and am finding that Sonoma 14.4 still does not work with OCLP non-metal Nvidia post-install patches (no surprise).  If you do have a non-metal hack and you experiment with 14.4 / OCLP, you may find that keyboard entry does not work after booting 14.4 (after the login window crash).  Without keyboard entry, you might have difficulty using OCLP to "Revert Root Patches" since you need to enter your root password.  An easy way to work around this keyboard entry limitation is to have a file with your root password (only for testing).  If you need to revert root patches with OCLP and you don't have functional keyboard entry, you can copy your root password from the temporary file and paste it into OCLP's root password dialog.

Latest OCLP commit (as of this post) adds non-metal patching for 14.4.  Looks like OCLP 1.5.0n has been re-numbered as 1.4.3n.

EDIT:  Latest OCLP 1.4.3n (with Commit bbc8902) has fixed the Sonoma 14.4 Login Window crash on my Dell Latitude E6410 with non-metal Nvidia Tesla.

...never give up, never surrender, you have a working ventura system, so just treat sonoma as a challenge yet unanswered, a hobby, or like me, a mini-addiction
