I book marked it from apple discussions, apparently it was deleted.

The bottom line was seeing how they (Apple) have an ad, HI, I am a MAC, and I am a PC that shows how the MAC can run windows, this post went on to say, with VISTA a stronger GPU will be needed and therefore the MB and MINI's will need to be updated.

That it was deleted by forum admins instead of them jumping in and saying NOT TRUE, Vista can run on GMA, it was deleted.

This gives me/us hope that maybe we will see the GPU upgraded by the summer??????? Especially if Vista is that demaning.

Sort of makes me want to get an iMAC 24 for now (core 2) and wait for the MB as I think they will get the stronger GPU and what will seperate the MBP from MB will be QUAD CORE and POWERMACS will be QUADx2 cores (8). I just don't know how with the heatsinks on the ECC DDR that they could ever get the QUAD into the MBP though.

Not sure what the next step will be. Also read that KL8 from AMD is supposed to be a duo core killer.

Interesting times ahead. This must be making DIGIDESIGN mad as heck (probably why the rumor about PT LE and SURROUND is coming soon).

Peace all.

I guess you just haven't bothered to research it, but Vista runs just fine on the GMA 950 in the Mac mini and the MacBook. Full Aero Glass effects and everything.

Yes I noticed that it did when i installed the VISTA beta, shhhhh, just don't tell apple.

Wonder why they deleted it then?!?!

Guess we'll never see a decent GPU in MacBook and will have to shell out the extra $500+ for a GPU, backlit keyboard, and 800 FW...

:tomato:

Lol, its like discussing how to add a new printer in XP in the apple forums. Dont worry it is not a conspiracy, apple doesnt want to kill you. They arent ut ot make everybody wait till they can buy from them.

Basically your discussing Windows on a Apple forum, and once yu install a different OS support is not a apple question unless it is a hardware issue (i.e your battery exploded sort of thing)

Guess we'll never see a decent GPU in MacBook

Contrary to what you and many other badly informed people think, the GMA 950 is great for pretty much anything other than games, and even there it is acceptable for most people.

The GMA is great unless you want to play shader intensive games like DOOM 3 but otherwise it works just fine at Day to Day tasks, and dont worry Vista Aero doesnt look like it takes so much power, its pretty pathetic actually
