Jake Lo
I'v updated to the latest OCLP 1.1.0 and was able to enable airportBrcmFixup.kext but need to bootarg amfi=0x80 Otherwise DW1830 is not detected. I'm not sure if others have the same experience. Without AirportBrcmFixup.kext, system information will display the wireless as 3rd party wireless device or something along that line. jlrycm
After upgrading to Sonoma, I installed an Intel AX210 card and so far the wifi and BT services are working well. I realized I wasn’t using the other features that I would loose by switching to an Intel AX210. I preferred security above everything else, but the fenvi card can make a comeback in my PC if the OCLP can be made without disabling some of the security. Thanks @Jake Lo for sharing this finding, esp. wrt. DW1830 which I am still struggling on only one-way Handoff at Monterey. DW1830 works w/o kext(*3) injection up to 12.7.1 (I can confirm), as @deeveedee mentioned as well. Now if you say DW1830 works for you, esp. w. AirportBrcmFixup.kext thus NOT marked as "Third Party Wireless Card"(which I can confirm at Monterey 12.7.1 as well), do you mean: BT module works as well? as BCM920703 or BCM2045A0? Handoff (Airdrop, clipboard, etc.) works as well or only Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz); In System Report > Network > Wi-Fi > en1: Card Type now indicate correct vendor/device-id as DW1830? Also maybe double check w. IOReg.'s WiFi detection under ... AirPort_BrcmNIC > IOvendor as "Unknown" I am asking these is to understand and doubt on macOS may have implemented this integrity check(which AMFI does) already since later Monterery and thus hinder the 2-way Handoff? PS: as checking your repo@osxlatitude < @deeveedee , you didn't mention Handoff functionality with DW1830 or DW1560? XanthraX
To replace the airdrop, it exists the free app, called Blip (blip.net/download). Install it on your hack and your phone and this is all.

hackattak
Hi - I'm newly on Sonoma 14.4.1 with BCM94360CS2 as of yesterday (came over from Monterey for 120hz/4k) Bluetooth of course works, but I thought I'd spend some time tackling the WiFi situation if it's possible. In the meantime I bought Tp-Link mini travel router so I can access internet via ethernet > WiFi if need be Is getting previously native Broadcom WiFi still working as of today and/on 14.4.1? Which instructions should I follow here? Thank you! Edited March 28 by hackattak

Max.1974
Hi all friends, since I decide put my Broadcom Wireless Card + BT on my Aorus Z790 (with intel WI-Fi 6 Ax211 + intel BT), when I mapped my usb ports, I block intel BT and use BRCM Broadcom bluetooth working fine, and using compiled Clover 5156 or 5157 (not works with "another" boot loader), to send from my Desktop to my iPhone works fine or another real Mac. Include too my not real Mac Lenovo E470. I believe that coders will find way to work AirDrop with intel Wireless card.
miliuco
@Max.1974 I'm skeptical, I don't think Intel wifi can ever use Airdrop. Apple configures macOS by default to use Airdrop only under very specific conditions. itlwm spoofs itself as wifi but it is not seen by macOS as real wifi. AirportItlwm works the way Airdrop compatible wifi work, it can support Airdrop in theory but so far the developer has not been able to do it, this kext comes from the Linux driver and the Linux code surely lacks what Broadcom has to allow Airdrop. Max.1974
Hi my friend works from Desktop to iPhone for while, and I believe it's not Bluetooth or even Wireless, but permission or configuration from Kext. witjojo
Hello everyone, I have a "Lenovo ThinkCentre M93 Tiny" with the Mini PCI-E WIFI card BCM94352HMB. As far as Ventura, the WIFI worked without any problems. But now I can't get the WIFI card to work under Sonoma. I've read everything here over and over again 20 times. Unfortunately I can't come to a positive solution. The system is configured as Mac Mini 7,1 and I made all the settings for WIFI as described here. Here are screenshots of my system. During root patching, the graphics and WIFI cards were correctly recognized and the graphics card is also patched correctly. But the WIFI card is not patched properly. Tha WIFI card is displayed here as a FakeBCM card. I hope you can help me. Edited March 30 by witjojo
Max.1974
Hi @witjojo Maybe you can try use MacBook Pro 15,1, 15,2 or 16,2 SMBIOS. And if you can, post your EFI
witjojo
Hi Max, I have now switched my SMBIOS to MacBook Pro 15.2 and repached again. But no difference, no WiFi. I noticed that Bluetooth is also recognized as a third party dongle. That wasn't the case at Ventura. Here is my EFI. I deleted IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext from the EFI, because I can only upload 10 MB. witjojo
5 hours ago, datafeedexpert said: Try Adding Max Kernel 22.99.99 its confirmed from my side i am having same hardware & the same issue when updated to Sonoma 14.4 That can't be right, can it? Sonoma is 23.0.0 and if Max Kernel is 22.99.99 then AirportBrcmFixup.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext will not be injected. This would mean that AirPortBrcmFixup.kext is not needed for Sonoma. Only the IOSkywalkFamily.kext and IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext and the root patching? I have changed to Max Kernel 22.99.99. But I still don't have WiFI. If you have the same hardware, can you give me your EFI to test? Maybe I have errors somewhere else in settings, ACPI, USB, etc.
miliuco
@witjojo Load IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcmNIC.kext instead of AirportBrcmFixup.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext.
