Done on Aero D, Z690 13900K with RX6950XT but had to turn of my USB Ports kext, restrictevents.kext, also changed smbios to iMac 20,2 - enabled usbijectall because no subparts kext but after 2 hours it finally works. No WIFI but have bluetooth with Broadcom m.2 card

I suspect the wifi will be fixed next release.
I’ve only tested on my dell 14 3410 i5 10th gen but after leaving it idle it just randomly reboots. I’m at work so it gets left to be idle.

Highly doubt Apple will bring IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext back in beta 2.

MSI Z490 reporting for Sonoma duty...........Observations so far, as reported the trusty Fenvi T-919 fails on the WIFI but not too concerned as the machine is normally connected by wire as well.

As it is the first Beta that problem will be solved pretty soon.

Date and Time is incorrect in relation to my part of the Globe so for the moment cannot be changed from Cupertino, CA - United States.

I am still poking around to see what works and what is screwed up.

Spoiler

Below are the kexts I had to disable and also had to disable the ssd for the 6950xt, needed to use the AMDRadeonNavi kext to get graphics to work and to get this to boot properly, still no wifi but bluetooth and everything else works. Now to map my USB ports as the previous SSDT and subparts does not work

If that is the case, trust the Hack Devs to find a work around, they always do (I say with plenty of optimism).:thumbsup_anim:

I only now noticed the time zone was off after reading your post, seems mine is defaulted to USA and I cannot see New Zealand. Apple thinks the world revolves around USA 🤪

Are IOAudioFamily and IOPCIFamily still there? if yes then drivers like the voodoo hda and the kx audio driver will still work.

EDIT:

Aslo any success with haswell? When i have time i will try it on my haswell and my broadwell machines.

@surenmunoo I got over the wrong date and time by turning off 'Set time and date automatically' and manually setting correct date and time for the UK.

Unfortunately Time Zone remains unchangeable.

PS - You have to turn off 'Set time zone automatically using your current location' off as well.

If I turn on set date and time automatically, my time defaults to USA, I have the timezone turned off as well

Curious to see if Kaby Lake and AMD Polaris graphics drivers have been removed from macOS Sonoma. 🤔

Update:

- Kaby Lake drivers are still there.

- IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext has been removed (and that's probably why my Broadcom Wi-Fi does not work).

They can't exactly drop the former drivers because CFL Macs use them

You need to change the digits manually with the keypad in the  time and the date readouts to suit your zone.

Working on Z490 Vision G. Add -wegbeta if you're using Whatevergreen and an AMD Card

Little Snitch is not compatible yet (as expected):

Clicking on "Software Update" does nothing, clicking on "Download Manually" brings youg to the homepage ;)

I have installed macOS Sonoma 14.0 Beta 1 on my Intel 7th Gen KBL Core i3-7100 CPU, HD 630 iGPU and activated QE/CI acceleration.

image.thumb.png.47e78ca2f213e4d66244fd54e556ca0a.png

I only modified the following parts in the EFI folder used in macOS Ventura 13.x.

  • Add the -lilubetaall boot arg to boot-args in NVRAM - Add in Config.plist
  • Change SMBIOS to iMac19,1 model in Config.plist
  • Modify SMBIOS to iMac19,1 model in Info.plist of USBMap.kext

I need add "-lilubeta -wegbeta -alcbeta" to boot-args to enable everything working at Sonoma in my Z490-H Gaming hackintoshs.
