Hackintosh Prepared USB Can't able to Boot

Following this tutorial, I have prepared required EFI partition:

How to Create OpenCore EFI for Intel Desktops using OCGen X | Hackintosh

After applying BIOS changes those are required, I tried to boot with USB drive but I started getting this error - Check attached image:

Even USB can't able to boot :(

Let me give you system related information that I am using to install Hackintosh.

Target OS - Ventura

Processor - Intel Core i5 4440 3.2GHz

Ram - 12GB DDR3 Ram

Graphic Card - NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

Intel Motherboard

SSD - SATA SSD 240GB

Running OS - Windows 10

These are my current system related information and let me know if you need something more.

I have uploaded my EFI partition and other system info too - check attached Zip file.

Couple of quick suggestions:

• Disable XhciPortLimit in Kernel section of config.plist (for the time being)
• Insert the USB flash disk into a black USB 2.0 port (yes, USB 2.0 port)
• Try booting the macOS installer again

Also, if I recall correctly, Ventura does not support Nvidia GT710. The GPU should still operate, but without accelerated graphics.

Most importantly, MacMini7,1 is not supported in Ventura. Change your system definition to something that's supported in Ventura.  After that GT710 and HD4600 can be patched to work in Ventura via OpenCore Legacy patcher.

Rather than Ventura, for now I decided to move ahead with Mac OS Catalina.

I have attached my Intel motherboard info as well.

Not sure why it's panicking on your end.

It would help us all out if you boot into verbose mode and send us a picture of the log.

Meanwhile, I did have an issue similar to yours and it was related to the SATA controller.

Had to install CtlnaAHCIPort.kext on my system to fix this, but I was installing Big Sur.

Perhaps also try SATA-unsupported.kext if the prior one doesn't work.

I have added SATA-unsupported.kext file within EFI folder through config.plist file but nothing change in the result.

Next question, how to boot into verbose mode? I can upload image of logs.

So the guide you are using is wrong.

Ventura can't be installed on iMac15,1. This is what the screen said you.

You have to configure your bootloader for SMBIOS iMac18,1 at least.

Or just use board-id substitution as Clover does.

At present, I am trying to install Catalina rather than Ventura.

Then also shall I required to change SMBIOS iMac18,1?

With catalina you should encounter other message and other advice follows.

Sorry because of different OS names, I was confused.

I am trying to install Mac OS Monterey from last 3 days.

 

Today I got huge progress in this process but still I can't able to select SSD as my install drive.

I have recorded full video so please check this:

The error message is The update cannot be installed on this computer, which means you're not using the full 12GB Monterey installer. We can use GibMacOS to download the full Monterey installer and re-create the USB install disk.

Do you want me to remove extra 4GB ram and then do testing?

If by default 8GB ram is supported.

This problem is not about RAM, so you should keep all of the RAM modules installed.

 

The problem is about the USB Install Disk containing Monterey. How did you download the Monterey installer? And what is the total size of the Monterey installer file? 

 

If the file size is less than 10 GB, then it is not the full Monterey installer. We need to download the full Monterey installer, which is about 11+ GB file size.

I have downloaded MacOS Monterey from this link:

Monterey is possible since iMac16,1 but not iMac15,1.

The config.plist is still using iMac15,1 along with -no-compact-check boot argument.

 

I've made some changes to EFI folder and switched you to iMac19,1 to see if it will allow you to install Monterey.

 

Try the following:

• Use attached config.plist (but backup your current version)
• Use attached SSDT-EC-USBX.aml (it combines EC and USBX) -- copy it to EFI/OC/ACPI folder

Last given EFI folder worked for me and I can able to install MacOS Monterey within my system

Now we have to deal with post install things because no hardware working apart from keyboard and mouse

1. graphic card not detected

2. sound and display disabled

3. wifi usb card not working (tp link wifi adapter)

4. resolution is pretty low 1280x1024

5. bluetooth disabledI have taken screenshot of this so please check these:

Some notes:

• Nvidia GT-710 is not supported in Monterey, but drivers can be installed
  • See this video 
  • Or this video  
• Sound through the monitor will not work until above driver is installed 
• For WiFi and Bluetooth, which WiFi/BT module are you using? 
  • If you're not sure, run Hackintool, select PCIe tab, then click the export icon on the bottom right of that window; and post the file
• For on-board sound, just check System Preferences --> Sound(both the Input and Output sections)

I have read within the documentation but I am asking for confirmation.

So Mac OS Ventura, I can't able to install with Nvidia GT 710 because Open Core does not have support and originally Mac OS does not have support too.

 

If I have any other higher series card then I can able to install Mac OS Ventura within the same system.

What is your suggestion?

Some recommended GPUs that are compatible with Monterey and Ventura:

• RX 6600 and 6600 XT
• RX 6650 will require a simple device ID spoof with SSDT or DeviceProperties
• RX 6800 and 6800 XT
• RX 6900 XT
• RX 6950 XT will require a simple device ID spoof

Used GPUs are also good, such as:

• RX 5xx (560, 570, 580)
• RX 5xxx (5600, 5700)

100% stay away from NVidia GPUs for Hackintosh. No question.

To further affirm - Yes, there is no nVidia GPU that is natively supported in macOS Monterey (and Ventura). The only legit project around (leveraging OpenCore's boot capabilities) that aims to restore support for legacy GPUs (that were once supported) in newer macOS versions is OpenCore Legacy Patcher aka OCLP, albeit said project is largely designed to support real Apple Macs and not hackintoshes; success with such tools is sometimes a hit or miss and you lose critical security features like SIP and AMFI.

If you're looking for robust GPU performance + proper native support in macOS Ventura (or Monterey), your machine will require a supported AMD GPU as listed above by @Casey_S.J.. Or you could choose to remain on macOS Big Sur for native Kepler support.
