Why would you want to use that very old version, please? Please note 16.2.x and latest 17.0 are much better. That said, you should be fine to up to macOS 10.14 Mojave (possibly), or at least 10.13 High Sierra (surely). (and everything older too, down to 10.9 Mavericks - some GUI/screen size issues on that particular one for me, however) I am running VMWare Workstation Pro 17.0 here with ALL of 10.9 up to latest 13.0 Ventura. (And previous Workstation 16.2.x was fine for them all too.) Used to run 10.8 Mountain Lion just fine too, but then the software I test on my macOS VMs stopped supporting that, so I rarely run it.
