I am not getting any errors UPDATE: looks like .webloc can be opened with the browser other than Safari, just by selecting Open with.... but cannot be set as default in GetInfo window. Just curious what is the application for these files. Where and why do you use it in the 1st place? It just weird way to open a web link in my opinion.... Well that is just a way that I keep some urls. Instead adding them to favorites in the web browser. It maybe weird but I am not the only one who saves useful website addresses like that. About this bug there has already been discussion because it dates back to Catalina I think. Why it is now in beta 2 en beta 3 I don't know. But thank you for checking whether this strange bug is still present in this beta version of 13.1. 👍 Edited November 16, 2022 by BarryBar 4

deeveedee
2010 Dell Latitude E6410 HackbookPro6,2 laptop running Ventura 13.1 Beta 4 About this Hack: Ventura 13.1 Beta 4 Spoiler I am continuing to run Big Sur as the baseline macOS on my HackbookPro6,2, but I continue to monitor Open Core Legacy Patcher progress on Monterey and Ventura. My Dell Latitude E6410 (a 2010 laptop with Intel Arrandale Gen 1 CPU and Nvidia graphics) runs Big Sur perfectly, has some minor issues with Monterey and has known graphics acceleration issues with Ventura (a work-in-progress by the OCLP team). Despite the issues, I enrolled my hack in the Ventura Beta program and upgraded to Ventura 13.1 Beta 4 without any issues. The upgrade was easy and painless. As mentioned in the OCLP 0.5.2 release notes, Install Ventura on your unsupported Mac/hack at your own risk, since Ventura is not yet supported by the OCLP team on some old Mac models. Also, do not reach out to the OCLP team for support with your hack. I believe that they are only offering OCLP support for real Macs. Ventura 13.1 Beta 4 update available Spoiler Applying Ventura 13.1 Beta 4 Update Spoiler Following the upgrade, OCLP automatically detected the need for Nvidia patches and applied the patches. Spoiler For those who have old hacks or old real Macs who don't want to invest more money in deprecated or soon-to-be deprecated Intel hardware (waiting to invest in Apple silicon), Open Core Legacy Patcher offers a clear option. Please remember that OCLP does not provide official support for hacks (only for real Macs). If you choose to use OCLP on your hack like I have done with my Dell Latitude E6410, you're on your own. It does work great, though! Edited December 4, 2022 by deeveedee

You maybe correct there as there is the letter (b) at the end of this released Beta and the RC usually follows this suffix as happened in the past. 5

deeveedee
Ventura 13.1RC installation on my HackMini8,1 (HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini 65W) was smooth and flawless (still running OC 0.8.6 using the EFI here). I have recently installed a BCM94360NG Wi-Fi/BT card in this hack as described here. Wi-Fi did not work after the first boot of the newly installed Ventura 13.1RC macOS. Wi-Fi functionality was completely restored after I rebooted one more time. About This Hack: Ventura 13.1RC Spoiler @Sherlocks and @Moviemakergr - it does appear that Apple has fixed the FAT32 performance problem. I ran a test with BlackMagic Diskspeed Test and saw good Write speeds. You may want to test this yourself. deeveedee
@Sherlocks You are welcome! I'm glad to see that Apple finally got around to addressing the problem. I tested on only one platform with one USB flash drive (the same platform and flash drive that I have been using for all of my FAT32 write tests), so I'll be interested to see if you are able to duplicate my test results.
