matgeo
I'm thinking about changing my laptop's NVME drive with a Western Digital Black SN770 500gb Can someone (that uses it) tell me if: 1) it is fully compatible wtih macos without the need of nvmefix.kext 2) temparatures are high (and if a heatsink is needed for a laptop) 3) power consumption is low. 4) there is another better NVME option? Thanks in advance.

macattackjack
Buy the version with the heatsink built in. More expense but, you buy it and it's ready to go. I have them in two different builds running 10.14.6 with no issues.
