Can you show me the correct way to edit
/System/Volumes/Preboot/{Ventura Preboot UUID}/cryptex1/current:
- os.dmg
after successful

Extract OS.dmg from an Apple Silicon IPSW

Because I have tried many different ways all got frozen during booting of Ventura beta6 in Ivy Bridge Z77 hackintosh

Exactly as you said, remember that my EFI folder is only for mobile Ivy Bridge, not desktop Ivy Bridge, and it is adapted to HP Ivy laptops.

Can you share a photo of verbose mode?

I don't really understand what you want from me (photo of verbose mode of ?) ?

In your attached EFI I can not find anything specific for booting Ivy Bridge hackintosh ?

If I'm wrong please instruct me how to do it correctly.

I think booting process should be similar between desktop and laptop hackintoshs until login desktop GPUs will be differently shown.

Me too, here is my Ivy Bridge laptop i7 3632QM HD 4000 working very well surprisingly, I need to do a lot of tries and intense research, firstly with os.dmg from M1, then KDK, and finally the OCLP 0.5.0. But also I have problems with AMFI boot-arg in Clover, isn´t working too, so I do a quite simple thing, nvram boot-args="amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1" in Terminal, and after that check if it prints the line with nvram -p | grep "amfi" and voila. This is because NVMRAM isn´t working.

The only problem I have currently, is other browser than Safari, all hangs and crash such as Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

I remember that with Monterey 12.3 there was happened this, with OC I couldn´t repair it, so I went back to Clover and the problem was solved in a moment, but currently I have also Clover but doesn´t work as past as OC.

All is working, HD 4000, Ethernet, WiFi, BT, Sound, USB 3.0, ACPI.

Thanks for the OCLP team, with your work we can give to our machines a little bit more of life.

Cheers.

Can you share how to modify os.dmg from M1 to install or boot Ventura beta 6 in Ivy Bridge hackintosh in more details ?

For example:

Can you show me the correct way to edit
/System/Volumes/Preboot/{Ventura Preboot UUID}/cryptex1/current:
- os.dmg
after successful

Extract OS.dmg from an Apple Silicon IPSW

Because I have tried many different ways all got frozen during booting of Ventura beta6 in Ivy Bridge Z77 hackintosh

I am asking for verbose mode because you have said that always get frozen on every boot.

Yes, it is something similar, but has some differences, as mobile is not desktop at all.

I setted the minimum SMBIOS compatible with Ventura.

In my EFI folder there are a lot of aml files to patch correctly the ACPI, and it is specifically for Ivy Bridge.

The installation phases were the following on my Ivy laptop:
1. Create the install media.

2. Boot the installer without any modification.

3. Install Ventura as normal, and it reboots 3 or 4 times.

4. And complete the installation, but in the last installation phase it will do a panic, due to the lack of AVX2 instruction set, at this moment is when you will need to replace the os.dmg from Apple Silicon IPSW, using Big Sur or Monterey if you want.

5. In my Clover´s config.plist I have a patch to skip the os.dmg root_hash.

Cheers.

Regarding 4. should I replace whole os.dmg from Apple Silicon IPSW to /System/Volumes/Preboot/{Ventura Preboot UUID}/cryptex1/current ? and its size is around 3~GB instead of original 1.52 or 1.62 GB ?

Sure, you must do exactly as you said, simply replace 1 GB os.dmg (Intel) to 3 - 4 GB os.dmg (Apple Silicon IPSW).

Doing this and with skipping the os.dmg root_hash verification you will bypass AVX2 requirements as this dyld shared cache is part of Rosetta 2, which comes with legacy instructions inside.

Cheers.

Yes, this page is fine.
You will need exact the same build as you want to install, I mean if you want to install the latest beta 6, you must download 331f IPSW along full installer for Intel (331f).

To patch root_hash verification you will need this https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-13-ventura-on-unsupported-macs-thread.2346881/post-31198683

We need to add the root hash patch after installation or it should be already added before installation ?

Currently I have this...Should I proceed the installation with this enabled or disabled?

I have the latest Beta.

Electron apps, such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Discord etc, now working also, by only adding this following boot-arg into my config.plist "ipc_control_port_options=0" I had "amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1" previously, but isn´t enough, now my Ivy laptop is working pretty much well.

Thanks to OCLP team.

Cheers.

Hate to ask, but any way to build the B5 installer? gibmacos only offering B6 and my poor genuine mbp can't handle all the networking bugs. Ironically much more stable on hackintosh this time around 😛

you can try this:

@Cyberdevs - Hi Man sorry to be a PITA can you send me this potion of your Z690 config.plist, I want to make a comparison with my Z590. I got audio working but Boot Chime is not, yes trivial I know but I am trying to get back to the place I was with the Z390. I checked and double checked the entries and cannot find what is missing. Thanks.

Hi there, of course. Here it is:

This is crazy, that is exactly what I had, as it was with the z390 also but remembered some time back Audiogod said to try the AudioCodec value '3' instead of '0' but '0' always worked for me but I thought I'd try '3' but alas no good still. I will change it back to '0' and keep digging. Thanks man really appreciate your time and effort.

Only thing that is still pending is the Power Management. I tried MacPro 6,1 and also MacPro 7,1 but Powermanagement is not working. Cpu Frequency stuck at 3.6 but mine is at 4 Ghz in Bios.
