mengshi
I notice that most of the current batch of Gigabyte's motherboards do not provide which Realtek sound chip the board uses but state "Realtek Audio Codec". Is this a problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/351521-current-gigabytes-realtek-audio-codec/ Share on other sites
Cyberdevs
@mengshi Not particularly, no. But if you decide to upgrade your system it's always a good idea to do a compatibility research before buying the rig. With AppleALC.kext+Lilu.kext most of the modern Audio Codes can be activated as long as you choose the correct Layout-ID and if AppleALC doesn't support the audio codec you can check VoodooHDA.kext. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/351521-current-gigabytes-realtek-audio-codec/#findComment-2780985 Share on other sites
