RobertX
...just hooked up Hisense 50 inch tv... about this mac now shows nothing for graphics...system information shows the hd 530, but not what it's connected to, or resolution...about this mac/display shows 36 inch 50R6107, which is the tv, which is 50 inch...default display size 3840x2160@30 seems to work though... is this normal, or correctable? RobertX
...to answer my own question, it is normal and not correctable as my board only supports hdmi 1.4(4k@30)... the display port however(4k@60)....gotta get another adaptor... ...but still unclear why connecting this tv lost me some sys profiler info, and about this mac showing the tv as 36 inch 3840x2160.... more reading... RobertX
...anyone? I like the scaled size as far as desktop viewing, readability, but about this mac and sys info being blank just bothers me...
RobertX
...as an aside, I have got the display port working...dp to hdmi adapter, 3840x2160@60 with audio working through display port...a little buffing of the frame with hackintool for WEG...i won't link to it, but an enlightening guide for WEG and hackintool at the other place got me started ....also my no sys info for display issue is normal for headless igpu, which mine is not, the second pic of display 36 inch(3840x2160) reflects some type of display scaling...still investigating... 🧠
RobertX
...isn't hackintool a wonderful thing.... configX.plist.zip ...on the display tab of hackintool...did a little inject display which generated a wee small file Display-20a3-0.kext, that I immediately placed in efi/clover/kexts/other. ...on reboot I am greeted by refreshingly new info in about this mac and sys info... thank you to the creators of this fine-ass tool Edited March 13, 2022 by RobertX
