notthebee
Hello everyone First of all, huge thanks to the developers for putting so much effort into OpenCore! I've been trying to make OpenCore work on my Lenovo Thinkpad T440p for a few days now, and today I was finally able to boot! However, even though the OS itself mostly works fine, it seems like the hardware side of things doesn't work very well – no brightness control, battery reporting or audio. My Clover configuration utilizes some Clover functions like FixHPET and others, and I imagine, since they're not present on OpenCore, the ACPI doesn't work like it should. Is there anything I can do to make brightness, sound and battery reporting work? Thanks in advance! EFI.zip CLOVER_config.plist

e97
Working on porting X99 C612 Xeon v3 Haswell-EP on macOS 10.14.6 with Clover over to OpenCore I need to specify the memory modules (quad channel, 8 ECC RDIMMs DDR3) to get past End RandomSeed because there is no XMP for ECC RDIMMs, only SPD. The configuration document does not specify this option is available under PlatformInfo/{NVRAM,SMBIOS} where it is in Clover. Is this a feature request / bug report or did I miss the option somewhere? custom memory map is not implemented yet: https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/381 Tried this: On 9/17/2019 at 10:29 PM, tacoeater said: [Resolved] This is MSR register asynchronicity issue particularly noticable on Gigabyte 100/200 series motherboard. Toggle AppleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcpmCfgLock will resolve this issue. Hi there. I'm switching from Clover to OpenCore 0.5.1 on Skylake platform (Gigabyte H170N-Wifi) and is now stuck in "End Randomseed". I was thinking it might be the APTIOMemoryFix thing but I've found out it has been merged in AppleSupportPkg, and as long as I have ConsoleControl enabled it should be fine. I've checking the reference manual for days but still cannot figure out what's going on. Being desperate I'd like to kindly ask for advice, with the only boot message, my EFI folder tree and my config.plist (following the vanilla guide, Skylake section). Thanks. Enabling AppleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcpmCfgLock did not result in any progress. Nor did Enabling AppleXcpmExtraMsrs.
