If it's the case, you can skip EFI partitions to be displayed in the picker playing with ScanPolicy in config.plist. Do you have 0 now? Check here to tune this property: https://oc-scanpolicy.vercel.app Thanks for your answer. If I click on it PC boot with deepin linux grub so I have double entries with linux in OC GUI. If I click on deepin icon boot in linux directly. I have 0 in scanPolicy. I will have a look at the link Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
polkaholga Posted January 15, 2022 Share Posted January 15, 2022 (edited) Hi, I'm having trouble with my debug EFI ( on external USB ) that I use for debugging purposes. I lately updated all files from 0.6.8 to 0.7.8 and did all usual updates in config.plist too. I can select the EFI partition to boot from in BIOS, but I never manage to boot, it stays on black screen and nothing happens... I tried NVRAM reset and everything else I can think of to no avail. 😞 as soon as I put the 0.6.8 debug EFI on the stick, no probs anymore Can someone pls have a look on my config and tell me what I'm missing ? Thanks EDIT: checked config for errors and corrected them, still no joy.. DEBUG_EFI_078.zip Edited January 17, 2022 by polkaholga 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anto65 Posted January 16, 2022 Share Posted January 16, 2022 (edited) On the page I linked to you earlier, you can find a preview of the kexts as the OC version itself, let's say in development ... but that already in the commits they have the improvements as in your case for ALCS1220A thanks to the constant work of the Devs 😉 Edited January 16, 2022 by antuneddu 4 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hoshi Yamazaki Posted January 17, 2022 Share Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) Hey, I updated my Thinkpad X230 config, OpenCore.efi, drivers and kexts to 0.7.7 version, but it stopped booting, and I'm curious why. This is error I get: It's quite interesing because I also updated my r5 3600/rx5700 XT config, and, even if it's AMD, it works without problems. So I don't know what is an issue with my laptop... I also tried to mess with Execution Prevention, VT-x and VT-d options in BIOS. I think GPU is not getting initialized, but I also tried to add SSDT-IMEI... The laptop comes with Ivy Bridge CPU (i5-3320M) and HD4000 mobile iGPU. I also want to mention that I updated from 0.6.1, and it was working fine on previous "build". Eps Posted January 20, 2022 Share Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) Few days ago,I upgrade OpenCore 0.7.6 to 0.7.7. It worked like a charm included booting-chime but sounds in OS. At start,I thought UEFI driver to producing sound would not affect to sounds in OS. I turn AppleALC.kext back to 1.6.7 with OC 0.7.7 and sounds in OS won't work. After some tests,I putted OC 0.7.6's AudioDxe.efi to Drivers folder and sounds in OS worked. I installed 0.7.6 and 0.7.7 AudioDxe debug version to get some information. in AudioDxe 0.7.6: Spoiler 382:675 14:689 HdaCodecInstallProtocols(): start 399:793 17:117 HDA: Starting for DF72D098 413:424 13:631 HdaControllerInitPciHw(): controller version 1.0 436:143 22:719 HdaControllerInitPciHw(): capabilities: 64-bit: Yes Serial Data Out Signals: 0 467:950 31:806 Bidir streams: 0 Input streams: 4 Output streams: 4 490:669 22:719 HdaControllerGetName(): controller is Intel ICH7 HD Audio Controller 518:032 27:362 HdaControllerInstallProtocols(): start 536:107 18:075 Gotten here 545:206 09:098 HDA: Starting done for DF72D098 563:373 18:167 HdaCodecDriverBindingSupported(): attaching to codec 0x0 586:094 22:721 Codec ID: 0x10EC:0x887 599:726 13:631 Codec name: Realtek ALC888B 613:358 13:631 Codec contains 1 function groups, start @ 0x1, end @ 0x1 636:076 22:718 Function group @ 0x1 is of type 0x1 654:287 18:210 Function group @ 0x1 contains 37 widgets, start @ 0x2, end @ 0x26 681:515 27:227 HdaCodecProbeFuncGroup(): probing widgets 702:092 20:576 HdaCodecProbeFuncGroup(): probing widget connections 722:404 20:312 Port widget @ 0x11 is an output (pin defaults 0x99430130) 745:123 22:718 Widget @ 0x10 (type 0x0) 758:760 13:636 Port widget @ 0x14 is an output (pin defaults 0x1014010) 781:473 22:713 Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 795:104 13:630 Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 808:750 13:646 Port widget @ 0x1B is an output (pin defaults 0x2214C20) 831:455 22:704 Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 845:086 13:631 Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 859:733 14:646 HdaCodecInstallProtocols(): start It seem AudioDxe detected SPDIF-out(0x99430130),Line-Out(0x1014010) and Headphones(0x2214C20). in AudioDxe 0.7.7: Spoiler 418:464 13:646 HDA: Connecting controller - PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1B,0x0) 441:168 22:703 HDA: Controller disable no snoop 459:349 18:181 HDA: Controller version 1.0 472:974 13:625 HDA: Capabilities: 486:611 13:637 HDA: | 64-bit: Yes Serial Data Out Signals: 0 509:329 22:717 HDA: | Bidir streams: 0 Input streams: 4 Output streams: 4 532:058 22:728 HDA: Controller is Intel ICH7 HD Audio Controller 554:868 22:810 HDA: Controller protocols installed 572:962 18:093 HDA: Controller initialized 586:591 13:628 HDA: Connecting codec 0x0 600:220 13:628 HDA: | Codec ID: 0x10EC:0x887 613:843 13:623 HDA: | Codec name: Realtek ALC888B 632:027 18:183 HDA: | Codec contains 1 function groups, start @ 0x1, end @ 0x1 659:282 27:254 HDA: | Function group @ 0x1 is of type 0x1 677:488 18:206 HDA: | Function group @ 0x1 output amp capabilities: 0x0 700:181 22:693 HDA: | Function group @ 0x1 GPIO capabilities: 0x40000002 722:903 22:721 HDA: | Function group @ 0x1 contains 37 widgets, start @ 0x2, end @ 0x26 750:178 27:275 HDA: | Widget @ 0x2 output amp capabilities: 0x34040 772:945 22:766 HDA: | Widget @ 0x3 output amp capabilities: 0x34040 795:646 22:700 HDA: | Widget @ 0x4 output amp capabilities: 0x34040 818:372 22:725 HDA: | Widget @ 0x5 output amp capabilities: 0x34040 841:830 23:458 HDA: | Widget @ 0x14 output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 863:825 21:994 HDA: | Widget @ 0x15 output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 886:533 22:708 HDA: | Widget @ 0x16 output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 909:259 22:725 HDA: | Widget @ 0x17 output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 932:037 22:778 HDA: | Widget @ 0x18 output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 954:762 22:725 HDA: | Widget @ 0x19 output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 977:486 22:723 HDA: | Widget @ 0x1A output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 1000:200 22:714 HDA: | Widget @ 0x1B output amp capabilities: 0x80000000 1023:338 23:137 HDA: | Widget @ 0x25 output amp capabilities: 0x34040 1045:588 22:249 HDA: | Widget @ 0x10 (type 0x0) 1063:677 18:089 HDA: | Port widget @ 0x11 is an output (pin defaults 0x99430130) (bitmask 1) 1090:942 27:264 HDA: | Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 1109:111 18:169 HDA: | Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 1127:292 18:181 HDA: | Port widget @ 0x14 is an output (pin defaults 0x1014010) (bitmask 2) 1154:566 27:274 HDA: | Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 1172:731 18:164 HDA: | Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 1190:899 18:167 HDA: | Port widget @ 0x18 is an output (pin defaults 0x1A19840) (bitmask 4) 1218:173 27:274 HDA: | Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 1236:337 18:164 HDA: | Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 1254:529 18:191 HDA: | Port widget @ 0x19 is an output (pin defaults 0x2A19C50) (bitmask 8 ) 1281:786 27:257 HDA: | Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 1299:964 18:178 HDA: | Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 1318:132 18:167 HDA: | Port widget @ 0x1A is an output (pin defaults 0x181304F) (bitmask 16) 1345:413 27:281 HDA: | Widget @ 0xC (type 0x2) 1363:573 18:159 HDA: | Widget @ 0x2 (type 0x0) 1381:754 18:180 HDA: | Port widget @ 0x1B is an output (pin defaults 0x2214C20) (bitmask 32) 1410:019 28:264 HDA: Codec protocols installed 1422:648 12:629 HDA: Codec initialized It detected all audio-jack whatever input or output.
