hoffsta
Question/Issue with PlatformInfo: I followed the OpenCore Vanilla Desktop Guide, which directed me to fill in the following info for PlatformInfo section: Automatic: True Generic: MLB: C02221405J9F2FR1M (iMac13,2 via GenSMBIOS) Rom: (mac address) SpoofVendor: True SupportsCSM: False SystemProductName: iMac13,2 SystemSerialNumber: C02HR7Z3DNCW (iMac13,2 via GenSMBIOS) SystemUUID: 197A98EE-127B-471E-B4DD-A3F3E0433A5D (iMac 13,2 via GenSMBIOS) UpdateDataHub: True UpdateNVRAM: True UpdateSMBIOS: True UpdateSMBIOSMode: Create (also tried Overwrite) My assumption was OC would insert this information only, or possibly use a database to generate other fields (Product Name, Version, Chassis Handle, Type, etc.) However, when I run dmidecode, the output finds a bunch of info for a Macbook10,1 # dmidecode 3.2b Scanning I/O Registry for entry point. When boot drive is connected to this controller, loading to the OC picker menu takes 20+ minutes. Using Intel 7 series port takes seconds. Clover doesn't have this problem so it seems it must be related to some differences in .efi drivers. I currently have only ApfsDriverLoader, FWRuntimeServices, & HFSPlus drivers on OC 0.5.4. Do I need other drivers? We were able to reproduce this. Filed as https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/669. Do not use this controller for now. 1

crazyi
Hi, I use Thinkpad T450s, here is my EFI: https://github.com/crazyi/Hackintosh-Catalina-OpenCore-Lenovo-T450s-efi OC 0.5.0-0.5.3 works perfectly on my laptop until I upgrade it to 0.5.4, I can not use number key to choose pickers. The only changes I make in the config.plist are adding some new quirks mentioned in the configuration.pdf and all these new quirks are set to faulse. Can anyone give me some tips? 1Ale1
First check Configuration.pdf if you have doubts or if you think you're missing something, and try to stick with it as much as you can. https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/blob/master/Docs/Configuration.pdf Check Khronokernel's guide in matter of keyboard issues and whether to choose to enable built-in support or disabling it and using AppleUSBdxe.efi Set this if you're not using the driver previously mentioned ShowPicker: YES Shows OpenCore's UI, needed for seeing your available drives or set to NO to follow default option UsePicker: YES Uses OpenCore's default GUI, set to NO if you wish to use a different GUI KeySupport: YES Enables OpenCore's built in key support and required for boot picker selection, do not use with AppleUsbKbDxe.efi https://khronokernel-2.gitbook.io/opencore-vanilla-desktop-guide Edited January 17, 2020 by 1Ale1 clarification on main guide added

Simonej
Hi guys! After years of Clover I was curious to try OpenCore, booted from USB; 1st build with Gigabyte Z370 + i5 + integrated graphics + NVME SSD & Mojave worked flawlessly with native NVRAM, 2nd build with Gigabyte Z390 + i9 + Radeon graphics + NVME SSD & Mojave can't boot, stuck at apfs_module_start:1393: load: com.apple.filesystem.apfs... virtual IOReturn IONVMeController:CreateSubsissionQueue... I spent some hours to understand what happens, after reading Configuration pdf, anyone went trough my same problem? Because I'm using Emulated NVRAM with Clover is it possible that nvram.plist or CloverHelper on the main drive are interfering with OC? Thanks! Edit: SSDT-AWAC is loaded on both builds Update: Tested SSDT-RTC0, removed nvram.plist and CloverHelper, tried different settings, still can't boot from main drive or install usb.
