Hi all,

It's only me or macOS takes more than 2 -3 minutes to boot?

If it happens to anyone of you, do you solved it, or is because of MacOS Monterey first beta?

Thanks

Boots in less than 30 seconds off an SSD for the majority of us. Your build obviously has a problem.

I also use ssd unfortunately macOS monterey 12 boot take to long time for coming login screen

Other hand macOS Big Sur 11.4 boot take to time 30 second which is good thing normal boot

Upgraded 11.4 to 12 beta with latest dev build kexts and 0.7.0 opencore and no additional bootargs.

Using macpro7,1 with amd 580 but gpu won't show up in about and also takes about 2 minutes to boot.

No other issues so far.

My Observation using Montery:

1. Usb Bluetooth working OOB in Big Sur stops working

2. CleanMyMacx stops working

3. Propertree is not usable, text is invisible

4. Adguard is OK

5. Photoshop and Bridge working 100%

6. MS Office working 100%

7. Headphone icon in menu bar now display correctly

For those having issues with longer boot time try to enable automatic login in Users & Group. It solves mine.

This is due to BroadcomBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport changes. We still have to wait for the proper fix of BrcmPatchRam.

I have ProperTree working very well in Monterey. Have you last version?

Has anyone figured out how to get our graphics cards to display in the About This Mac screen? The only screenshots I've seen with it visible so far have Radeon cards and MP7,1 SMBIOS. I don't want to change from MP6,1.

I've tried MacPro7,1. iMac19,1 and iMacPro1,1. none of them shows up GPU in About this Mac. I think it's an early macOS, sure this will be fixed in future betas.

Boot times are ok.

I don't know the problem but I am using the same propertree in your link. It is pure back background and preferences is not helpful. Anyway thanks for your reply.

Does your card show up in the PCI section of System Profiler? If not, try injecting the AAPL,slot-name property and see if that works with MP7,1.

On my system with automatic login disabled boot time is about 90 seconds. With automatic login enabled (no need to enter password) boot time is 10 seconds.

No, no, showing the GPU in PCI devices is only cosmetic, if you see a real Mac you don't see devices in that section of System Profiler, it doesn't need to be there.
In System Profiler> Graphics it does appear ok.

Strange! This is how the latest version works in Monterrey.

SavageAUS look this up in the Clover Discussion thread; I believe it was discussed & detailed for Big Sur.

Yeah I’ve tried searching for it but no luck. I’ll go back through internet history and find it. Thanks.

Broadcom BCM94360CS2 is an Apple card. It is therefore expected to work OOB and without BrcmPatchRam or any other 3rd party kext.

I use a Fenvi BCM94360NG in my Dell Latitude E7270 and did notice a delay of several seconds (10 to 15 maybe) after wake before BT is fully restored and my BT mouse active again.

On mine the bluetooth stays off and cannot turn on.

Maybe it has to do with these errors :

Have you verified this with a real Mac Pro? I've looked through DarwinDumper reports of real Mac Pros and the GPU is always shown in the PCI section.

Some people go to town on populating the PCI section with all their cards and injecting proper device names. But I'm talking specifically about the GPU here.

In any case, my 670 shows up in the PCI section but still doesn't show in the ATM screen. So there may be more to it.
