WizeMan
Beta 5 Like a breeze on my system. Still experiencing slow boot (2 minutes) but at least since yesterday the system does not seem to get sluggish like it did with Beta 4 after a while. Now there is not any difference. Even shutdown.

eSaF
@WizeMan - Try booting in verbose (-v) and see where the potential hanging at boot is.
Anto65
I can't compare with BS but boot times with beta5 around 13-15 seconds
bisdak4920
I have slow boot time during beta 3 and I found the culprit was my usb webcam. If i disconnect my webcam boot time was normal. Beta 4 solve my boot time problem with the webcam connected.
Rocky12
X58 update went very well but after the updating I lose all the USB ports I have already created new USB Port kext, but the problem is as usual any kind of recommendation or help would be greatly appreciated Open Core Bootloader v- 0.7.2 SMB - MP 6,1 Edited August 14, 2021 by Rocky12 1

One would think that Monterey probably based on the architecture of its predecessors with some changes won't be that much of a difference where the USB ports are concerned.

I’ve done that, brother, no specific clue of what’s going on. Is that a thing on Monterey? I have my ports mapped with hackintool since Catalina and have not noticed any USB malfunctions on Monterey. Now I’m wondering wether that is the cause of my slow boot time.
Anto65
Mapped the usb on Catalina with hackintool created the kext etc .. But then Remapped and define the connectors on the ssdt thanks to @gengik84 https://www.macos86.it/topic/9-mappatura-porte-usb/?tab=comments#comment-126 From Catalina to Mrey b5 never used anymore kext only ssdt and the drop on the plist never jump always working in all osx 😏 Edited August 15, 2021 by antuneddu

I had something similar with bluetooth (upgrade beta5, same configuration, no work). I changed SMBIOS and all work now (I mean 4 of 5 Hackintosh's I test with Monterey had the same issue). pet1
Make sure the SMBIOS model in the usbMap or usbports kext matches what's set in config.plist.
SavageAUS
Do we know if the new RX 6600XT will work with macOS? It should be a decent upgrade from my RX580. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

However, I still bought this card, because I found one for a good price here in the UK, and the next model up - the 6700XT - was nearly twice the price. Thankfully, I have more than two inputs on my LG monitor, so I've disabled my 6600XT in macOS with the -wegnoegpu WEG boot-arg. This has let me use my Intel UHD 630 iGPU when I'm in macOS, with the AMD 6600XT working perfectly when I'm in Windows, and my Linux Distros. I just have to remember to switch to the HDMI2 input on my monitor when I want to use macOS 🙂 Edited August 17, 2021 by pbryanw minor edits

Clover and OC should both be able to do this, if you don't know how it is done, then you can ask in Clover or OC thread here on insanelymac.

I agree the 6800XT working OOB since it is supposedly coming up for the Mac Pro, but other cards are the usual “hit and miss” - assuming there are no internal changes on the RDNA2 tech as previous generations used to and broke similar cards (300 and 400 series IIRC).

But as a work around, Im running the web version of outlook as an Edge App. Part of my is happy that its fast and more features, and part of me is upset its a web app. Only real downfall is I have to run my personal email in mail now. (can't have separate mailboxes ce on the web app).
