What a PITA is this macOS Monterey, sometimes it's the sound that doesn't work, other times it's the bluetooth that doesn't work, not even with the method of mapping the usb ports, with the USBmap, anyone knows know how to make it work my adapter is the BCM43620CS...

On another note do anyone knows why do I have my Windows 10 SSD marked as external?

I've been disconnected from hackintosh for a long time ( 3-4 years ) ... and I've lost practice 😄 ...

 

I started on hackintosh when apple switched to intel, so it was difficult ... but a lot of fun..

 

Now I have returned to the hackintosh, because I was there when it started and I want to be when this ends, by switching to ARM..

 

And since my old lenovo t430 was always a very friendly hackintosh machine .. it helps a lot

 

P.S: I have changed to Macbook Pro 10.2 and the iGPU information is already lost in about this mac 🤪

I have also verified that the iGPU works with any smbios, macbook pro 9.2 - 10.2 - 11.4 - 11.5 - 12.1 ...

But as is logical, from 10,2 the speedstep does not work correctly, it remains stays between 2.75Ghz and 3.1Ghz ... although almost nothing is noticed in the battery consumption .....

On the 10.2 model the speedsteep works wonderfully

I installed RTL8168E-VL/8111E-VL PCIe Gigabit Ethernet card which worked perfectly at Big Sur/Monterey.

Thanks but it did not work for mine.

Maybe it's different one because I must disable previously FakePCIID.kext & FakePCIID_intel_I225-V.kext to prevent frequent frozen every 5 minutes if they were enabled.

Also I found manual address of this ethernet will freeze my Monterey immediately.

So I must install another RTL-8168/8111 gigabit ethernet card to keep my networking.

The problem was in the "AAPL, IG-Platform-ID" ... probably the OpenCoreConfigurator that I used it in the morning to generate SMBIOS was an ancient version and it has modified the config.plist :(

I have verified the backup copies that I had of the EFI, and also the Big Sur and are correct (04006601), only the Config.plist that I was using had the "AAPL, IG-Platform-ID" in 00000201 ...Normal that does not work 😱

After patching my HD4000 can enable QE/CI now, but one disadvanage with Firefox only:

unable to get HLS smoothly from IPTV such as http://totv.org/iptv.html.

No such an issue with Google Chrome or Safari.

Using a Manual Address works in Big Sur but not in Monterey unfortunately either. If it is working for you in Monterey, can I please see your config.plist for comparison? Clean all the SMBIOS Info data.

Exactly how am I supposed to install Monterey?

 

Do I patch the existing EFI folder?

 

Make a patched folder and transfer kexts?

 

OR???

 

I can make a Monterey USB install drive...

 

Is that what is patched?

You may need to follow this guide to install Monterey on your Dell.
Because you have HD4000 GPU which has been removed by Apple, you'll

need to use the Opencore Legacy Patcher to add the drivers back in.

As for myself, I'm not having much luck at the moment with my Gigabyte Z170N-WIFI, RX550 and i7-6700. The Monterey installation just keeps rebooting to a black screen after I've gone through all the screens and I'm already using -lilubetaall -wegbeta -no_compat_check and amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1.

Thanks and can you share your config.plist for Monterey because my Asus P5Q PRO with GT 730 were quite similar to your hardware.

Up to now it can boot to 11.5 beta 2 without any issue, but 12 beta it can show desktop only (unable to load Finder properly).

I guess your Dell won't be much different from my Lenovo...

 

To start the first time, I made an installation medium, and I changed the switch to Macbook Pro 11.5 and Monterey was installed, but without graphic acceleration, the bluetooth (broadcom) did not work I had to remove the drivers that I used in big sur to be able to install the system ... and the other kext that I used in / EFI / OC / Kext I had to update them and the rest was adjusting, until the end I achieved graphic acceleration with OpenCore Legacy Patcher..

 

These are the kext I am using in Monterey:

HibernationFixup.kext I have disabled it in config.plist ... and it works without that kext 

 

I'm also not sure if I need more kext 😆 ... from what I have tried, the laptop works everything

For my Dell E6430 I decided to not install systems beyond Mojave.

The only issue I have with this first beta is a stall before login if auto login is OFF. After verbose mode the Apple logo appears and stalls for around 30 seconds (have not timed it) but if I have auto login turned ON it boots super fast.

Thanks for sharing. I had a llok at it. And I have no idea why Ethernet is working for you at all.

 

You are using a setup for ethernet which was used for catalina but is no longer required.

Yoiu are also using deviceid 0x15f28086 which you then rename with the Kernel Patch to 0x15F30000 which was the intended way for Catalina. This is no longer required since on Big Sur supports this controller natively. But on top of that you are also using FakePCIID and Fake_PCIID 225.kext which does the same thing (renaming 0x15f28086 to 0x15F30000) which is no longer necessary since the kernel Patch handles that for Catalina.

IntelMausi is not even needed for this Board anyway. This is only required for the Vision D Board. This EFI  looks like it was taken from a vsion D.

 

What is this for: HS80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IO80211NetBooter.kext

and this: HS80211Family.kext

Wifi?

 

Your Fake_PCIID 225 kext is the first in the order of Kexts but Lilu, VirtualSMC should be first due to dependencies of other kext. All in all I am actually astounded that it even boots…

Same issue here on my AMD system. If I remove my USB Webcam however there's no stall.

Mines a laptop with built in webcam, so it appears to be USB related. My AMD rig is waiting on patches to test it and that doesn’t have a webcam at all so will be interesting.

Gmyle BT Broadcom 20702A0 USB  working in BS not working in Monterery.  i added BTFixup, BRCMBTInjector, BRCMFirmwarerepo and BRCMPatchRAM3 kexts to /L/E.

Any ideas on how to get this dongle to work natively ?

Make sure do not use BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext on macOS 12

If you want to install kexts in S/L/E or L/E then install these 3 kexts (BlueToolFixup.kext BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext BrcmPatchRAM3.kext)

If you inject kexts with OpenCore or Clover then use (BlueToolFixup.kext  BrcmFirmwareData.kext BrcmPatchRAM3.kext)
