As a precaution, I always save a copy of the EFI on google drive or on Ntfs partition, by now it has happened, sorry can't you recreate it? For which  hw i5 9400f ?

I use dropbox but unfortunately save efi archive over same file name, should name as version

know all that still not booting

I'm sure that 0.6.9 worked but lost that one

This 0.7.1 EFI is for my machine, it boots perfectly but you have to adapt it to your hack:

  • SSDTs can be different
  • IGPU DeviceProperties (if applicable)
  • ATI X570 (I have RX 580, no code in config.plist)
  • kexts can be different to yours
  • it has iMac20,1 SMBIOS.

I know this question maybe pointless but these two settings can be overlooked as in my case, have you checked the BIOS settings and disable SecureBootMode also disable TPM? These two settings will inhibit Monterey from booting if enabled, they can be enabled again after successful boot.

@STLVNUB

Check what Esaf says, TPM or PTT disabled in BIOS and SecureBootModel=Disabled in config.plist (my EFI has Default).

Have we got a list of supported / working Ethernet adapters for Monterey?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The list will be too long for the forum. See here LAN and Wireless

Why this question? You want to buy new one?

Thanks very much, I'm nearly there.

Was able to boot to installer with an EFI generated with OC_Gen-X

Same EFI folder was tweaked to boot to desktop.

Now to try yours Thanks so much

Smalltree kext is no longer working in Monterey so was seeing what options I have in case it does not get fixed.

For example PCIe RTL8111 should work

You also may acquire USB WiFi or USB LAN. At your will.

My Broadcom wifi and Bluetooth work great so I can survive for now and hopefully the devs of the kext will work out what’s wrong.

Beta 2 & 3 have been fine. Which one are you on?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am on beta 3 (21A5284e). OpenCore 0.7.1 and:

- Lilu 1.5.4

- AppleALC 1.6.2

- VirtualSMC (SMCProcessor / SMCSuperIO) 1.2.5

- WhateverGreen 1.5.1

- IntelMausiEthernet 1.0.3

- SmallTreeIntel 82576 1.0.6

- My USBMap.kext

All these worked no issue on Big Sur, not boot duration problems, but that's not the story with Monterey.

I tried to disable SmallTreeIntel but not change.

Post EFI minus serials.

Thank you. Removed serials, MLB, rom, UUID. PS this is the debug build of OC 0.7.1 which I use to investigate this issue.

Thank you. Will try and let you know. Apart from the architecture on config.plist was there any other change?

Updated OC, removed not needed tools, updated kexts and drivers. Added to config.plist.

Thank you. Thought my drivers / kexts were already up to date. Will try tomorrow first thing as I had some family business and get back to you, mate.

Unfortunately, no change.

Here you can see the system log at the time of boot. There are many lines that skip minutes.
