I would even say more, it's a preview so not yet a beta, as Apple says (top left of the screenshot). Spoiler 1
devillived666
Tried to install and succeeded but boot time is horrendous for me. I get a bunch "ALF, old data swfs" stuff and then it boots 3+ minutes later. Might be going back to Mojave as I didn't like big sur Édit: I managed to decrease boot time a little by getting rid of any Bluetooth related kexts. Yeah, I just read so many others saying the straight upgrade worked for them that I thought I might as well try, lol. Aside from the long as heck boot, it works well. MorenoAv
Hi guys, Finally today I was able to solve my sound and bluetooth issues and now macOS Monterey is working as it should, the only annoyance that I have yet is the return of the slow boot, and the presence of an Untitled disk icon (My widows 10 SSD) in the desktop, anyone knows how to solve any of this annoyances? I think macOS Monterey views my Windows SSD as an external disk, instead of internal... Thanks

SavageAUS
For slow boot try turning on auto login if it’s off and turn it off it’s on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The color of the Windows Icon is correct (grey) for internal disk, for external it would be orange and that does work because when I Hotplug another disk via USB connection the disk Icon is orange. The fact that it sees Windows as unknown (also on my install) is perhaps we are testing a Beta!!!???. 2

Stefanalmare
Finally I found my mistake installing HD 4000. Misc - Security - SecureBootModel should be disable. How about HD 4000 in headless mode, just to compute, in Monterey? It is possible, you think will be?

Since there are no big architecture changes on the OS anymore, things are expected to be less chaotic - which are proven to be true, moving from BS to Monterey Cheese was similar to a Sierra to High Sierra days. Yet, yes, a few things are expected to go sideways because that's what Beta code does 1 hour ago, MorenoAv said: Hi guys, Finally today I was able to solve my sound and bluetooth issues and now macOS Monterey is working as it should, the only annoyance that I have yet is the return of the slow boot, and the presence of an Untitled disk icon (My widows 10 SSD) in the desktop, anyone knows how to solve any of this annoyances? Probably because your SATA controller is not known as an Apple approved one, your internal disk is detected as external, and therefore shown whenever external disks is checked to be shown on the desktop. 54 minutes ago, MorenoAv said: It is Untitled, but is good to know that are ways to correct that, currently it almost don't annoy me much... LOL @eSaF It must be macOS beta weirdness all the way then... LOL Thanks You can always rename your Windows disk while you are running Windows: Beginning with Windows 95, open a Windows Explorer window, then right-click on the drive you want to rename and select "Rename". Now just type in the new name you want for your hard drive and hit enter. If Windows 8 or newer, a popup will appear informing you that this action requires administrator privileges. Click "Continue" to apply your name change. The new name will be reflected the next time you mount this volume on macOS. 44 minutes ago, antuneddu said: try this open the terminal and paste sudo nano / etc / fstab enter and type the password then paste LABEL=Untitled none ntfs rw,noauto CTRL + X then Y to save and enter it worked for me Good alternative for the previous solution. SavageAUS
In all honesty for a pre release, Alpha, beta or what ever you wanna call it Monterey has been pretty stable for me. Slow boot fixed with auto login enable, not secure but hopefully updates will fix that and hackintool will not load for me. Those are my only 2 issues. Speedstep, Graphics, sound, Ethernet, wifi and Bluetooth all work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I hear you, I did exactly the same for the slow boot but to get over the security issue at boot, my Boot Menu is locked with a PIN number same as Windows so that takes care of that issue. My only downside is 'Hello Screen Saver' and Sleep is Flaky in operation, sometimes it will and sometimes it won't otherwise I am happy.
