alex-5000
I have this very annoying issue. My system is working without problems for a couple of weeks then, all of a sudden ( usually after going into sleep ) it can no longer boot. It gets stuck on this line: busy timeout Sorry for bad quality image. This happens already 3d time! Can you imagine how annoying this is. All I can do now is attempt fresh install ( never mind losing all the data) from my install USB. However when I try to run the installer again in get stuck on : unexpected session and then scrambled screen with 'forbidden sign' in the middle I have no idea what is going on and what is causing it! Almost ready to give up on it Thank you for any advice on what is causing this and how to prevent this in the future? alex-5000
I was following Opencore install guide (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/prerequisites.html#prerequisites) I do not recall there was anything about that. All my USB ports ( inc. USB3) were working fine. Allan
Working USB is not the same as USB mapping. I think you don't read all the guide right? There's a lot more to do, look some: Desktop Comet Lake Optimizing Power Management Fixing Sleep Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/348289-my-hackintosh-stops-booting-opencore-comet-lake-big-sur/#findComment-2763012 Share on other sites

And then mounting the EFI with Propertree and adding some new changers? BTW, those output lines I always get this panic on, or whatever that is, do they actually say anything useful?
