Funky frank
Hi, I have the MBP pro 2013 15 retina, currently still using High Sierra. Performance is ok. Now I read that Mojave can slow down my machine drastically, maybe because of those intel microcode updates coming with the Mojave update. So is there a way to install Mojave but preventing the firmware updates? Or will it then not run? The machine has an haswell CPU... Thanks for tips
Funky frank
Well it includes a lot of spectre microcode updates for haswell which are irreversible. Maybe Apple then tried to compensate the performance loss by optimizing their code, but in general, Haswells will drastically slow down then. But I have to go with the time finally... Since it's meant to be thrown away
