Jalouis
Hi All! MacBook Pro 15” (MID-2014) macOS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G103) Safari (Version 12.1.2) I am writing on behalf of a family member who is having issues with Safari behaving oddly/slowly and redirecting searches to other sites. From what they have described I believe that a factory reset of the Safari app would be the best solution. sonneries iphone This may have been covered somewhere else but I couldn’t find a guide to COMPLETELY RESET the macOS SAFARI app to a factory state? Hope someone can help with this. Cheers! azul líder
Well, there is no magic wand. You need to clear browsing data, history, remove extensions etc. To do that, launch Safari and proceed to Preferences.Check if there are no unwanted entries set as a home-page under General tab. You would also need Develop menu item, so tick relevant box. Under Develop menu, clear caches. azul líder
Another way is to reinstall Safari. Apple has a thread on that. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204416#:~:text=Reinstalling Safari, for Safari on your Mac. Spooler: this does not work unless you reinstall macOS completely or install a major update.
