Guys -- how to get Dev Beta 9 (20A5384c) on to a VMware Workstation 15.5.6 (NOT latest 16.x) older macOS Big Sur Beta VM, running on top of Windows 10 OS with macOS Unlocker, please?

I try & try to get newer macOS Big Sur Beta, but it keeps getting stuck at Big Sur DB6 Beta (the one I have now).

The best I could get is a re-download of DB6 (so same version I am on!) after lots of hours spent downloading & installing it, so useless.

Do I need to edit some VMX file settings to get the current/older macOS Big Sur Beta I have to offer the NEWer/latest one? What ones? :worried_anim:

OR do I need to edit some config files in the actual macOS Big Sur VM/OS I am running now?

The easy way is to download the full Beta9 installer and install as a virtual machine.

Link, please? Found none everywhere I looked!

Also, I would much prefer to go from DB6 to DB9, not install a clean copy of DB9, if possible.

THis file seems to lack any extension? How do I run this file? :|

Tried to run from Terminal on Big Sur Beta I have now, errors out and does not do anything.

(Attaching what I get - tried on older High Sierra too, no change.)

On your Beta 6 VM download Chris1111 Beta Access Software utility. Run it and choose Developer Beta. You should be good.

Did not work, I am afraid.

It shows as Enrolled into Developer Beta now (which is good!), but yet says No Updates found (which is not). :(

Anyone having trouble downloading the update this evening?

Using System Preferences I get an error and using the Script I noticed this...

I downloaded the .dist file manually and it seemed to complete ok.

Can anyone please confirms that their Apple TV is working properly thru Airplay?

This last update is really slow & buggy for me ( Works fine with other OS & previous betas ). Getting 50% KP from in/out Airplay.

Config SMBIOS ImacPro 1,1 - Multi monitor setup. ( 3 Different Monitor resolution + ATV )

Clean installed macOS Big Sur Beta 9 using Clover v5.1 r5123 (it shows 5122 on Clover GUI and inside the System Profiler which will be fixed by our steamed Clover Devs) Thanks to @Slice and @Jief_Machak for their support and efforts and all the people who helped them :)

For those whom might have the issue booting the new Clover you need to add OpenRuntime.efi manually to the Drivers folder which will be fixed in the next release of Clover.

Why would you select number 10, please? Seems to be number EIGHT when I tried this on my older macOS Bug Sur Beta (DB6).

10 refers to a completely other, older macOS version?

Otherwise, thanks! :)

Downloading now. I will let you guys know if I am able to update from DB6 to DB9 this way. :)
