quosenk
Hello! I have installed MacOS Catalina with opencore and VoodooHDA.kext for audio. I use this kext, because AppleALC doesn't work on amd FX processors. Everything works fine, except videos. I have 3 troubles: 1. Audio MIDI Setup crashes, when i try to configure speakers.2. Safari reload any video, when i try to rewind it, or change volume (if i disable sound in safari - all works great)3. Almost all video crashes, when i try to rewind it, or change volume. It happens when i use standard macOS programs, like quicktime, photo app, itunes, appstore. When i open any video in VLC media player - it works great. I have mapped layouts in info.plist - it's work, but doesn't solve my problems with videos. Also, in Mojave all video works great with same kext, without any additional changes. quosenk
I think this problem is related to Metal, which Apple introduce instead of OpenCL in MacOS starting from Mojave. Also, i assume that the problem with the audio and video out of sync, because some videos have laggy sound in VLC media player. But I don’t know what to do with it, and now i'm installing High Sierra) Edited May 17, 2020 by quosenk
