Donald L. Meyers
There is almost no much space left after upgrading to Catalina. It is a 128 SSD MBP purchased on 2015. hooda
Try scanning using the Daisy Disk application or the like. This application is very good to be used to view large files stored on a mac. And we can delete it ourselves. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/341768-free-up-space-on-128g-mbp/#findComment-2704788 Share on other sites
Ethan Jarvis
Native Method to Free Clean Up Mac Storage ● Go to the Downloads folder, trash the unneeded files, then empty Trash. ● Navigate to your Macintosh HD and remove duplicate files. ● In the Mail app, go to Mailbox Erase Junk Mail. Then go to Mailbox Erase Deleted Items to remove the email permanently. ● Move files from Macintosh HD to an external storage drive. ● Compress your files to save start-up disk space. Other than that, download and install the 30-day free SpeedUp Mac software on your Mac. You can easily clean up System Junks, Logs, Leftovers, Trash and extensions without software activation. Guest 5T33Z0
There's a section called "purgeable space" on apfs volumes which cannot be deleted easily by the user. The easiest way I've found so far is to download a demo of CleanMyMac and find the feature under Maintainance and delete it that way.
