Giuseppe Biondo
Running macOS Catalina in Windows10 with VMware 15.5 The system runs perfectly with only one very important problem: the display type. In my PC is installed an Asus RX580 4GB but the virtual machine runs with a graphic card of 128MB of GPU ram. The resolution is OK, but graphic tasks are very slow. VMware Tools are installed. How can I fix this issue?

Allan
I hope that it works, as I personally don't have much experience with VMs...let's cross our fingers hehe

Hi there, Can you please go into depth on how to install it? I have tried installing both kexts using Hackintool, to both Library/Extensions and System/Library/Extensions, however nothing happens and the graphics stay the same (128MB). I also tried running csrutil disable in Terminal in the macOS Recovery and reinstalling the kexts, however once again there are no changes that took effect. Do I need to install Clover? If so, how do I do that in a VMware VM? Thanks

FiFo
I have a similar problem. When I install VMWare tools and restart, my computer would hang for a couple of seconds whenever there is a big change int he screen (i.e. minimizing a window). And by hangs I mean both the Windows host and the guest!! If I play music on the host for example, the sound will stop playing for a couple of seconds and then come back! I have an integrated Intel video card and an NVidia one. I tried disabling one of them and keeping the other but this never solved the problem. The only solution that worked was removing VMWare's graphics driver "VMwareGfx.kext" while keeping the rest of the installed tools. After restart I'd having no hanging problems but the graphics performance is much worse.
