AudioGod Posted March 20, 2020 Author Share Posted March 20, 2020 Sorry bro just to add, if you were referring to the boot time being slower on OC then that’s correct and not a performance thing but the z390 masters onboard serial port trying to connect in macOS and it stalls the system slightly at boot up but it’s not a problem and we can fix that too with a bios update to the motherboard so for now just don’t worry about it as it has no effect on the system. Your EFI does not see my DAC at all. Then i moved the USB to one of the top ports - still choppy. The whole computer slowed down - not the booting - the system after you have logged in. AudioGod Posted March 20, 2020 Author Share Posted March 20, 2020 Bingo the usb2 hub on the pro and the master is a bit hit and miss in general, your notice sometimes your keyboard or mouse doesn’t work and you have to unplug it and plug it back in and it comes back to life. I don’t think it gives out enough juice, you could try pushing more power out of the USB ports via the bios thinking about it and that might help. My motherboard is z390 master Page one the thread or if you prefer you can use my beta version remove agdpmod=pikera from the boot arguments as this is setup for a 5700 xt otherwise just add your details and enjoy. also the field that says rom is meant to be your MAC address I will only keep this download available for a few minutes as it’s not gone live yet and I’m also using a new method to give power to usb so there’s no SSDT-EC-USBX being used or needed. @hungrywallet I see you lurking...haha grab a copy of the EFI before I remove it and let me know what you think? its my new favourite of all my boot-loaders now. Yes but my bios profile gives you a unlocked MSR automatically so you just need to use that. theres simple instructions on page one if you don’t know how.
