Build starts Christmas Day lol I’ll get it all installed and running first then will try open core thanks for the offer. I haven’t tried open core with my current hardware z170x ud5 th I did read an article that said open core is the future

I bought an Aorus Master G2 edition. I tried to install Catalina Osx on it. Loading goes through, but where the graphical interface starts, the screen goes blank. I tried to change SMBIOST. When you start the installation the same problem always gets in the way.
Motherboard Wifi was physically removed. The GPU is a Sapphire RX580 8GB. The CPU is 9900K. If I remove the RX580, it's still the same problem. Any ideas for you?

Are you using the EFI that’s setup for RX Polaris GPUs?

and also is your problem on install and when it gets to the start point it’s going blank?

If that is the case then Try adding agdpmod=pikera To the boot arguments and try again.

I don’t know then mate as there’s plenty people using the same gpu as you and it’s working just fine.

your board is a newer version then what’s being used on my guide but looking at it now it doesn’t seem any different but it could b a factor but personally I doubt it.

i used to use the same gpu myself and it always worked for me buddy.

I suppose you use AudioGod's setting for the BIOS F10. What BIOS version for your new motherboard?

 

Do you try to block WEG via Clover GUI before boot to macOS, type F2 to get prebootlog...

I don't think the motherboard should be any different.
I use F10 from Bios. With the settings written here. I changed it so much that I just removed the RX580 so IGPX is set by default. Because so I use the motherboard HDMI. But if I put the RX580 back in, it's still the same. If I remove the -V from the boot options then there is a prebootlog

Hi there.
There was a bit of awkwardness on my part, I returned the Rx 580 and it started off. There's a strange thing to do. As the system starts up, both cooling fans of the RX 580 will stop. The GPU temperature hasn't gone above 45 degrees, it's just weird that the fans aren't going. Thank you for all your help.

im glad you got to the bottom of it all well done.

the Fans stopping is fine, the gpu is running in silent mode and the fans will spin up if and when the temps reach a point that the gpu needs cooling.

I followed the guide and successfully installed catalina with everything working. my specs :

i9 - 9900k

z390 aorus master

gigabyte rx 5700 xt

 

right now, i selected internal speaker (with audio layout_id=16) and connected my sub to sub/center jack (line out jack in hackintosh).

if i select line out, i can hear the sub is working fine. but i can only choose 1 output at a time, not simultaneously.

i'm just wondering if there's a way to use multiple jacks sound output in this hackintosh

That’s a good question that I don’t know the answer too I’m afraid. Try audio layout 12 instead and see if that changes it for you?

i have a feeling that you won’t be able to use multi audio outs like you want though. I’m sure you can’t do it n a real iMac or Pro hhmmmmm

i've updated my ipad to ios 13.3 and tried every USB port and Wifi but wont connect

the ipad icon on top menu bar is diplayed and my ipad is visible in the list

when i select my ipad in "select device" box, the screen budge a bit but after a minute "unable to connect, device timed out" message appear

any idea what to debug? thx in advance

Make sure you have your igpu enabled in the bios, auto will not work for it.

if it’s still not working after that then check your iCloud info and make sure that’s all working.

do you have a WiFi Bluetooth combo card installed?

yes, igpu is set to 64M

yes, i'm using fenvi t919. airport is working no problem

apple id is working, appstore is working, i turned off icloud drive, but checked photos and siri

 

is there maybe setting on the ipad i must check??

it seems the hackintosh is trying to connect with the ipad but not getting response

Your setup is the same as mine other then I use the nitro 5700xt but it’s exactly the same bar the cooler and Sidecar is working perfectly over here but only under smbios 19,1. Using 1,1 makes Sidecar dead.

erm (thinking) have you tried using Sidecar via a lightning cable?

if so was it the same thing?

also try removing airportfixup.kext from the kext folder in the EFI and see if that helps?

if you have it already removed then put it back and try with it.

yes, i already tried connecting the ipad via usb front and back but still fail to connect.

i'm going to check for the kext now.
