DannyG16
Hi Guys, I've been at this for a few days now, and I haven't been able to get any further. This is my 4th Hackintosh build, and I've literally never been so stuck. I'm pretty sure it's related to my motherboard... Here's my hardware: HUANANZHI X79-8D Dual XEON E5-2680v2 CPUs 128 GB of DDR3 Ram Radeon R580 (reusing from my previous Hackintosh, I know it's 100% compatible) Here's what I've done so far: Created the clover USB with EUFI Disabled VTd & serial ports in BIOS if I boot with these arguments, here my error: -v Keep Symbols Don't reboot at panic Here's a link to my EFI files Edited August 4, 2019 by DannyG16 newb
MaLd0n
try it, use full efi folder EFI.zip
DannyG16
Thank you sooo much for this help. really appreciate it. This definitively, definitively went a lot further on boot. Last error message I saw on screen was CPU not supported, then it was just a blank screen. I pressed space bar, selected -v & "no reboot" but the screen still goes black Here's my new EFi folder

DannyG16
Hey MaLd0n, I appreciate the reply and the help. How to I use UEFI mode? I created my USB stick with ##### and selected UEFI, I see UEFI is "enabled" in my bios (even though, it's an old school looking bios) What am I missing? DannyG16
I'm not using whatevergreen, I had to google it to know what you were talking about. I'm literally only using what ##### created + the EFI folder you suggested I copy over. My Video card worked OoB with my previous Mojave build on an intel board. Edited August 7, 2019 by DannyG16

DannyG16
Thanks! I think you actually just helped me decifer Mald0n's message, I'll re-create my boot USB without using u.n.i.beast
DannyG16
Alright, so I've learned a lot today. 1) I created a new USB installer with "Clover EFI v2 Bootloader". 2) I figured out what @MaLd0n meant by "block whatevergreen" - this is a kext that he added in the EFI Folder. I didn't block the whatevergreen - after I created my new installed, I just moved your original EFI folder and tried it. I actually start the install now. However, I'm stuck on the Language page. My Mouse works.. but I can't click on next. EDIT: I just realized that if I'm on the language page... I should be able to format my disks.. but I don't see the "osx bar" at the top. I wonder why that is. Edited August 8, 2019 by DannyG16
DannyG16
Got it working! for anyone searching for this later. here's what I did to get it to work: install the latest clover (2.5K_r5 at the time of writing) copy over Mald0m's EFI folder Download this youtuber's image file: it downloads a rdr file, I wasn't able to extract it. I had to fire up my Windows VM, install the Rtool that's included in the youtuber's google drive. Extract files/folder and copy over the EFI folder (it's the 200mb fat partition) I tried copying over his entire EFI folder on my key... but that didn't work. what worked was copying over (replacing) all his KEXTs in the "other" folder to my key. I was finally able to boot the installer and install OSX.
majdidaniel
I followed your technique and installed High Sierra first than Mojave. I gotta be honest, this wasn't an easy project, in fact, it took me days to have a fully functional machine. Much appreciated.
