Correct,, To override value of AppleBusPowerControll of Broadwell and below you can edit manually those kext or use kext injection plist. (Just do this if you got problem about "Insufficient power Notifications" when plug USB Device) Edited August 2, 2019 by Andres ZeroCross

jasphair
I've had a stable Skylake desktop for years now, running Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, and most recently the Catalina Betas. I never had issues upgrading through Catalina Beta 1-4, but Beta 5 is giving the below error as encountered by several others: apfs_module_start:1682: load: com.apple.filesystem.apfs, v1412.0.6, apfs-1412.0.6.151.2, 20/07/26 I'm sorry I'm having a hard time understanding the previous posts on how to get around this error. Do I just need the SSDT-ECUSBX.aml to get around this, or something more? What is it about Beta 5 that has caused this problem, yet not with the previous Betas? No I don't, and not even earlier, actually was looking if any one else has it on to compare to get my dragging function on trackpad going. If possible take look at my post here https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339567-tap-and-hold-to-drag-function-in-trackapd-not-working/ Have been fiddling around with all sorts of voodoops2kexts, but can't seem to get dragging going. Its either dragging, but then I lose double tap to right click and two finger scroll. You seem to have experience with HP laptops so, Any help would be great Thanks. I have also been having problems with trackpad function on Catalina betas. Dragging works for me but the sensitivity is way too high. When I two-finger scroll, it constantly responds as if I had done a two-finger tap (treats it like a right-click on a mouse). I suspect that this is due to the hardware quality disparity between the Mac trackpad and my Synaptics Clickpad. What hardware do you have? BTW, I tried using the attached kext and it was better in some ways but worse in others. I lost tapping in some but not all places and it was just too confusing. See if it works for you. ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext.zip Lastly, dragging is enabled in Accessibility->Mouse & Trackpad->Trackpad Options. It might be that easy.

I have the Accessibility->Mouse & Trackpad->Trackpad Options< enabled, still no dragging. The preference panes are all working and allow for choosing the options. But result is not effected. I am using rehabmans voodoops2 and everything apart from dragging works and quiet nicely, Synaptics touchpad here with two physical click buttons. So its definitely due to Catalina and how it communicates with hardware. I have used this kext also, ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext.zip is quiet old and not updated, but using this the trackpad becomes very fidgety with multiple responses with minimal touch. very off-putting and non productive, You could try acidenteras voodoops2 as your laptop is newer. It requires some ssd edits and compilation from sources that frankly I am not familiar with. Hope this gets sorted on its own with final release but I was hoping it would be corrected with this beta so a bit disappointed. Weev
Tried to update to beta 5 but I'm having a kernel panic sadly. Hitting a few errors before the panic aswell : AppleMUController::smcReadKey Error: received error 0x04 when reading key 'MSLD' Getting the same error for keys ALRV and ALV0 as well. Panic says : Unsupported GraphicsSchedulerSelect=2\n"0skl/IntelAcelerator.cpp:2070 I am using this EFI : https://github.com/daliansky/XiaoMi-Pro-Hackintosh I believe it's using fairly recent versions of Clover, WhateverGreen and Lilu. I tried using OpenCore instead of Clover here with the same config (OC config is on the same repo) but I couldn't make it verbose, and it seems to kernel panic too. I can get into single user mode though.
