I tested by placing in Library/Extensions, no good. I tested in Clover/Kext/Other, no good. I placed the kext in IO80211kext (Catalina original), no good but shows wifi utility. I saved original kext 80211 for backup, then used High Sierra 80211kext with Atheros40 fix and it works. So modifying the IO80211Familykext didn't work for me, and using Atheros40 in L/E didn't work either. I had to replace the modified IO80211Familykext from High Sierra/Mojave to get network on Tp Link N900 card (attached). Your's is 4096. It looks like it works but it is the wrong firmware version. Mine is version 5668. Here's what he says: Quote Troubleshooting After installing BrcmPatchRAM, even though your Bluetooth icon may show up, it could be that the firmware has not been properly updated. Verify the firmware is updated by going to System Information and check the Bluetooth firmware version number under the Bluetooth information panel. If the version number is "4096", this means no firmware was updated for your device and it will not work properly. Verify any errors in the system log by running the following command in the terminal: cat /var/log/system.log | grep -i brcm[fp] Ensure you check only the latest boot messages, as the system.log might go back several days. Without the injector, we get no BT at all, working or not. But like RehabMan says, if your BT properties shows version 4096 like your's does, it will not work properly. I'm getting my BT to work without injection, @Sherlocks, because I keep switching back and forth between Catalina and Mojave and injection works in Mojave. It's no different than booting from Windows 10 to Catalina. The firmware is already there when I restart my laptop. The bottom line is that the BluetoothInjector is only a temporary workaround, at least for the BT chips we have. Eventually, we will need a working injection kext. I haven't seen RehabMan around much and he hasn't updated any of his kexts in 2019 to my knowledge. Hopefully, he or someone with a lot more know-how than me will figure out how to do that. Thanks @vit9696 for pointing this out. @PMheart Unfortunately this boot argument does not work for me, on clover 4945 kernel panics with this only. Still need your kernel patch to boot , using only this in config.plist without the kernel patch leads to lapic panic. Regards
