My audio got broken updating from beta 7 to beta 8. Not sure what's changed but am updating to beta 9 and hopefully can get it to work. Have conexant 8150 but had somebody compile alc a while back because the pin config was just slightly different then main alc release at the time. Anybody have any suggestions ?

Anybody has an issue with Beta 9 & airdrop not showing? (19A573a)

PS: I had to primarily re-inject the BRCM4331.kext in the IO80211family.kext for my wifi to work as Beta 9 got rid of this kext. ( I rebuild cache, etc..Obviously :))

So wifi & bluetooth are now working, however I lost Airdrop. ( Airplay is working )

Can anyone report their status with a BRCM4331 Card? Thanks.

Does the wake from sleep work for you guys with Beta 9? It still doesn't work for me... Everything else seems to work though.

Sleep works fine here. ( Clover & OpenCore ) X299 & Sapphire RX580 SE.

Can you post your content terminal of :

pmset -g assertions

Thing is...it used to work for me, as well. With the same config. Now it just doesn't. So...since the OS is the only thing that changed, my guess is that the new OS added/removed something specific to my hardware and that's what's causing the issue.

Sleep does work fine. The problem is waking from sleep... That part doesn't seem to work. :)

Many thanks for the feedback.

This is after reboot though. Since I have to force reboot my computer in order to get back into the OS.

So not sure if it's still relevant. But here you go:

No idea what that is : InteractivePushServiceTask named: "com.apple.apsd-recreatecourierstate-sandbox.push.apple.com

Also, I do not know if you have kp upon wake or just dark screen..If you don't have KP..try this boot arg: Darkwake=0

Also, have you tried clearing your NVRAM since the update?

If you have kp, please post your log report ( the one showing up at restart ). Thanks

So, there are two different behaviors depending on the ig-platform-id I'm using.

If I'm using 0x04120004 (which used to work before, and was used in this particular case), I get a black screen, no image.

If I'm using any other ig-platform-id (I didn't test all of them, but from the ones I tested, all of them had the same issue), I get the Desktop, but everything is frozen.

I think both are freezes, in a way, and yes, both are KP, for as far as I can tell. Just slightly different behaviour.

And yes, I did clear the NVRAM multiple time since the update.

The KP report after reboot looks like this:

Looks like your CPU is overheating upon wake, creating the KP. Try to load a Bios setting where your CPU won't reach higher temps. Pretty sure this issue can be solved with a different Bios settings.  please report back.

Thanks.

Just tried Airdrop after updating to public beta 8 and all is working fine.

Ok, I'll try it tonight. :) Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Interesting thing is that I never needed to set up anything for the CPU though... I mean, regarding temps and such. Also, I haven't had this issue with older versions of Catalina. And never had this issue with Mojave. So...I'm not sure what changed in the meantime that requires a BIOS setting. Also, last time I had this issue with Catalina, it was fixed by changing the ig-platform-id to a "headless" one (using 0x04120004). Which would lead to an iGPU issue, in my opinion, rather than a CPU issue. But right now, I'm really out of ideas. Since the same ig-platform-id doesn't seem to work anymore, for some reason... :)) Soooo...yeah, I'll have to dig into BIOS to see how can I limit the temps on my CPU.

Just curious, which part of the report told you this looks like a CPU overheating issue? I was never able to understand these reports. So any help is appreciated. :))
