I clearly missed this. Looked only at the official distribution storage at Github. But indeed, it did the trick. Thanks for pointing out.

hi there, is someone able to install macOS catalina on Hp notebook 15. cant get to the installer kind of kernelLapic is not working for me but when i pass cpus=1 boot arg on start then i can easily boot into installer but after that it's stuck "Estimate remaining time" and stck there forever. so stuck here and hope for developers to update kernel Lapic issue.

 

Specs:

intel core i5 4210U with intel HD4400 8GB ram 

 

can someone help me to install macOS catalina, it'll be great. and yes im using the latest clover build.

yes i check that option but still getting KP on boot when but boot fine with cpus=1 boot arg

 

now im trying this patch of your's

 

Please try this kernel patch for 10.15 Beta 1:

9E 00 00 74 0E 8B -> 9E 00 00 EB 22 8B

Same here I need cpus=1 for installer to proceed and even with it , process hangs at kextd (240s) stalls:ACPICPU

Specs in signature, currently running 1014.6b

 

Any help suggestions

I can't tell you that for sure, but this is not necessarily an error. I installed Catalina the second time around using verbose flag and I've seen several of these messages, it just takes a looooong time to pass through. Try the installation without verbose boot and see if the remaining time changes or the progress bar moves.

 

For the protocol, there was a case where I hit an error and this message appeared while the logs showed some infinite looped logs of something else. Next time I'd say you should attach a screenshot of the error as well so we can better differentiate. :)

Just adding AirPortAtheros40.kext plugin kext from High Sierra doesn't work because it fails to link in the pre-linked kernel ---> need to also replace entire IO80211Family.kext with older version.

 

I used @parrotgeek1’s BCM4321fix ---> basically allows the IO80211Family.kext wifi driver from El Capitan to work in newer macOS eg High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina.  Therefore it supports all the deprecated wifi cards that lost support in newer macOS eg BCM94321, Atheros cards needing AirPortAtheros40.kext like AR9287, AR9285, AR9280 :thumbsup_anim:.

I can confirm that it now no longer panics. I can enable `iGPU Multiple Monitor` in my bios and boot into macOS Catalina without issues. 

 

So for anyone of you who want SIDECAR to work on a CustoMac with a dGPU, your iGPU has to work headless to be able to provide decoding functionality or otherwise Sidecar will error out.

 

I compiled latest Lilu, WhateverGreen, AppleALC and VirtualSMC in Mojave and they work great so far.

 

Image below is taken from the app called `VideoProc` (free trial is enough; Settings - Common - Hardware Acceleration Engine - Options - Press refresh buttons if needed)

Is there new patch for NVME (M2 device) to fix external icon (yellow icon) at 10.15 beta ?

previous one seems not working any more.

Hi,

 

If I remembered correctly, the binary patch stopped working as of certain release of 10.14, I guess the best way is to inject properties, details can be found at Pike's blog.
