Hello!

I recently bought an Apple MacBook Pro 17" Core Duo 2.16GHz and have become totally adicted to the Macintosh platform. I have absolutely stopped using my PC and it is lying forlornly in a corner of the house. Now, ever since I have heard that it is possible to install OS X on my PC and it is relatively easy, I have been bursting to try it. So here are the specs:

2.66GHz Intel single core processor

512MB 400MHz DDR RAM

Intel D101GGC motherboard

XFX Geforce 6600GT 256MB PCI-e graphics card

Acer AF715 17" monitor

Will OS X work well on my machine? If yes, where do I start? This forum is so huge, I am a bit confused. I read one topic and have come to learn that I cannot use my original installation disks to install Tiger on my PC, so how do I go about installing OS X?

Thanks!

I ran a search on Torrent Finder and found two images that look promising:

Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack (Age: 13 weeks; Size: 2.9GB)

JaS.10.4.8.SSE3.Intel.Only.iso (Age: 2.7 weeks; Size: 4.38GB)

Which one should I download, if any?

i don't see why not, just go through the HCL's and match your hardware and to see if anything needs to be patched
'HCL's'? What's that?
