Siri is working fine... but are you using siri, for real? She's just too hit and miss for me, so I just ignore her completely haha.

Stuck at password entering is likely related to user account corruption. Can be related to NVME drive.

USB stops working after sleeps: Try patch the USB port by yourself. If you're using the exact board and revision then the EFI folder should work fine for you without any problem. Try reflash your motherboard bios too.

Not really using siri haha. Im just curious if it works since i currently do not have internet connection to my hackintosh yet, wifi card takes too long to arrive.

In my About My Mac, it only shows iMac and not specific such as early 2019 etc. Is it fine or do i need to do something with it? And i just checked SMBIOS it shows iMac 19,1

Some new found information regarding my sleep @glasgood, I decided to try your

"AORUS Z390 MOTHERBOARD X  – EFI WITH NO USB SSDT, WITH PORTS LIMIT PATCH, WITH SSDT-GPRW SLEEP / WAKE FIX"

and it turns out to actually fix my sleep issue! I can finally say i have a perfect running Hackintosh. I have also have it overclocked to 4.9ghz and its running extremely well.

Thank you for creating this great guide and always helping out those who seek it. I really appreciate it.

Hello,

First of all thanks a lot for this big tutorial !

however, I got a "big" issue. Everything was fine, I was at the end (on macOS, etc) and I have installed the wifi card. The wifi card work, I was able to use my magic keyboard & mouse.

I start to follow the steps to be able to use iMessage. After updated the list with Clover Configurator I rebooted my hackintosh and now it's stuck everytime at :

"apfs_module_start:1393: load: com.apple.filesystems.apfs, v945.260.7, apfs-945.260.7, 2019/04/26

I saw online that the bios for the motherboard should be an issue. But I tried with the F7, F8 and F9 ! Nothing works...

I setup and setup again de bios as mentioned in the topic just to be sure.

I also try to reset the list to the one that work just before (I made a copy). Still the same.

I confirm that I can boot for my original boot drive with the clover install and go to my macOS session.

But I can't boot from my main drive now...

Please, if any help, it would be awesome :)

What are your full  system specifications, and can you attach your EFI folder.

I'm still puzzled why the POST-INSTALL Aorus Pro Z390 EFI - RX580 did not work for you . Anyhow, glad you are happy with performance using alternative EFI that I posted. You could try disabling ports limit patch and downloading USB SSDT. :)

Hello, I try to make sure that hardware acceleration is working fine, I saw many other members posting a screenshot of an app "Hardware Info" which looks like this:

593567181_ScreenShot2018-11-11at7_08_59PM.png.98ad9c2a91cc15e02fb6955c9af53ab9.thumb.png.91b77281ec564a3bcb87716d18b43630.png

But I can't find the app that produces that info, could you point me to a URL? I searched in this forum, in google, reverse image search in google, but I could not find which app is that :/

Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you very much for your information.

I have a problem with my computer:
- Gigabyte Z390 gaming X
- Intel Core i7-9700K
ASUS ROG Radeon RX 580 STRIX GAMING OC, 8GB
- 16GB DDR4 3200MHz Ballistix sport LT
Corsair VS Series VS550 80 PLUS

I successfully installed Mojave 10.14.5 but I have a lot of problems.
1 - First I could not open pictures - do not ask me how, but I fixed it
2 - Almost every time I have a start up problem "stop in the darkness" I use an entire bag of spells to go. Restart and adjust bios or I use it as a last resort USB flash efi.
3 - I have a problem with shutdown too

I have been running for weeks on the Internet for a solution and try almost everything and naturally things get worse.. :(
If anyone helps I will be very grateful. I can provide remote access through TeamViewer.
I do not quite understand enough or I'm just stupid..
If I would have even paid for the help

Though Maldon's Insanely HackBeast ( Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming ) should be a better alternative for you're Z390 Gaming X

The EFI folder you uploaded looks awful, I'm afraid I cant help much with that.  You could try adding the following flag to config.plist boot arguments: UseKernelCache=No

Yea same here, I could not figure it for the life of me but i just ordered a second ssd so I can use as my test drive as I really don’t want to mess up the fact that it currently works fine. I will attempt the usb SSDT and see how that works. One thing which is not such a big deal but was wondering what caused this change is the boot up time from being turned off. It takes a considerably longer time to boot into the login screen now.

Not a biggie as I have sleep working now but just curious.

Can you attach the previous EFI folder that you had problem with so that I can have a look through ?

@Sceme29

Can you try this EFI ==>Archive.zip I have removed some unnecessary Device Properties and made some other amendments such as replacing USBPorts.kext with USBInjectAll.kext and accompanying SSDT's and SSDT-UIAC for USB ports fix. You may get a kernel panic on first post, if kp happens then restart machine again.  Check BIOS settings are the same as guide, and temporary disable X.M.P if you have problem.

Awesome I’ll give this a shot as soon as I get home today. I’ll have to go back and disable h14 for Bluetooth again if I did that prior I’m assuming, right?

Okay, this board sounds very familiar. Just kidding. I had the exact motherboard and has successfully used Glasgood EFI folder for it.

First: Use Glasgood install EFI, do not use the post installation EFI because his configuration is for Z390 Aorus Pro which has completely different devices and board layout.

Second: If you cannot open a photo file using preview or quick view, I assume it's a JPEG photo. That means your iGPU doesn't work properly. You will need to enter the right device info in the Device properties. Search this post, you will see the right device ID for 9700K / 9900K iGPU and where to put that. Glasgood is using a 8700K in his guide, so the iGPU device ID is different from 9700K.  The install EFI uses a lot of universal patches on the fly that may break in the future Mac OS update, but it works for a lot of the Z390 boards.

Third: Problem with shutdown means ACPI settings are wrong. Try Glasgood install EFI and it should work perfectly.

Keep us posted if you're still having problems after try my method.

@glasgood just finished trying this EFI out and it goes into sleep fine but when i press the mouse to wake nothing works after that. Same issue i was having with the post rx580 EFI. I have to restart the computer manually after.

Can you enable "XPRW change method patch" in Acpi / DSDT and test.

I've completely restart the whole guide process and now it works fine and boot every time to the main drive (I use the hackintosh right now) !

However, I've a last problem - and this is a problem for me because I need it them a lot : The USB ports work for flash drives for exemple (I tried every one of them (usb 2, usb 3.0, usb 3.1) and the flash drive shows up on the desktop every time)

BUT, if I try to use the USB ports for my external hardware - like my Focusrite Clarett 4 pre USB audio interface or my master midi keyboard - The USB ports on the backplate doesn't work, the light turn on the keyboard but it's not found in my DAW, if I switch to the front USB ports or to one of the four USB2.0 ports on the backplate, it works fine... So, I can only use the 2 front USB3.0 and the 4 USB2.0. This is strange, and I don't get it because I've use your EFI (Post) and Got the exact same hardware. Any Help ? This is my system specifications and my EFI folder https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8njlu27mqi1nhnu/AAAEGIv-yjWoXlw_wrEiC8X3a?dl=0

Thanks a lot for your help :) :)

Sounds like your external usb hardware is USB2. Follow guide and create an SSDT and change some of the USB3 ports on motherboard backplate to USB2. So change some SSxx on backplate to HSxx.
