Nope, doesn't work. It starts again as soon as I revert the EFI to the pre-install version.

When you arrived at the kernel panic below:

Did you attempt a second boot ?

I didn't remember so I reverted back to your AMD Post-efi and rebooted.

Worked on the first boot. Restarted to see if it would work the second time and I got the panic again. Tried a third time and It worked again. Very strange EDIT: Chose restart (don't reopen windows) panic again..

EDIT2: After the last reboot it refuses to boot even after restarting several times. Reverted back to pre-install EFI: boots fine

Do you have a suspicion why this would be?

I tested last EFI on my Hack test drive, and it works. Though sometimes, when making large configuration changes it seems that something triggers firmware to cause a panic, but subsequent boots thereafter are normal.

Have a look at my latest ==> BIOS settings

Thank you very much. I used your screen dump to change my bios settings ( I was surprised many settings had to be changed) and now it boots consistently.

I have a question about the post install EFI. What are the major differences between these two configurations? I'd like to understand it a little better.

Thank you again for your help, truly a sage!

The pre-install EFI has port limit patches enabled, and different SMBIOS. I suppose it could be cleaned up a little, but would require more of my time and I know it is good for installing macOS Mojave on Aorus Pro Z390, so I don't bother with it as is serves a purpose.

My post-install EFI has ports limit patch removed, and properties injected via devices in config.plist.

Glad to see you are sorted!

I see. Thank you again!

I'm now trying to repair the eject after sleep issue. but it seems that the link you provided might not be up to date:

git clone https://github.com/syscl/Fix-usb-sleep

I managed to manually download the folder from GitHub. And tried to place it in the user folder (it looked to me as if the second command was looking for the .sh there.) But I keep getting "no such file or directory"

edit: Never mind, I believe there was a space behind the command..

Yeah, seems not to be working, was working few days ago. Script can be installed using:

curl -o ./fixUSB.sh https://raw.githubusercontent.com/syscl/Fix-usb-sleep/master/fixUSB.sh

chmod +x ./fixUSB.sh

./fixusb.sh

I've followed the tutorial and installed mac os, but I'm having problems with the usb. the 2.0 are running normal, but the 3.0 only 2 ports are working (the ones on the front of the case). How can I fix this? thank you

Ok @glasgood, thanks...

Is this EFI different from the one at the beginning of the post? because I used the EFI that I downloaded yesterday at the beginning of the guide.

Yes, it's different.

ahhhh ok, i will try NOW! thanks

Replace config.plist in the last EFI folder that I just attached with this one ==> config.plist ( I removed two device properties that are not needed )

Ok, i will replace the config plist into the last folder that you send me, and restart and check all the screens on the boot. Thanks

@BSouza

If you encounter a kernel panic at boot, then reboot. Sometimes switching EFI folders that's had many changes can trigger panic. But subsequent boots are then normal.

I had some problems while doing the process:

1 - my external hd apparently worked on USB 3.0 ports

2 - sleep is not working, after I click on sleep, the screen goes black and the pc is still on, after a period it turned the screen back on its own, but the mouse click did not work nor the keyboard keys

3 - After locking in sleep I was forced to manually turn off the pc, and the motherboard lights do not turn off after the forced shutdown.

PS. I did not have a kernel panic.

No problem with sleep on, POST-INSTALL Aorus Pro Z390 EFI - RX580. I don't personally use intel, so was not inclined to test sleep fully. Try enabling XPRW change Method(GPRW... in config.plist below. It will stop wake from sleep.

You will have to press power on button on Hackintosh to wake from sleep when patch is enabled.

Bios F9

Ok, sleep is not so important, I'll leave it to solve this when I get to rx580. The most important is about USB. Is there any way to verify that all usbs are being recognized and working normally? Because it seems to me that something strange, if I connect my keyboard (k68 rgb) to a USB 3.0 port, restarting the system the keyboard stops working.

Use IORegistryExplorer.app to view USB. ( below )  in the past, I did use a Corsair K65 rgb keyboard an used this ==> driver
