Sorry my mistake its SS01 and SS02 and I see ss03 listed too but nothing is connecting to it when I plug into any of the ports. What's all that about? LoL

Should i do it again and remove ss03 as i don't see its purpose too being there but then why would it of gone green while I was setting up the ports?

Sorry it was SS03 that's not in use but listed not SS01. I updated my old post above listing the correct ports.

Do I use the work i did from yesterday on hackintool and just update it?

If I don't need SS03 then I will give the extra port to HS08 so SS07 and SS08 will both be USB 2 and 3 compatible. Hows that sound?

Here is the  mapping that I know so far, do you have a cable attached on F_USB30C ? if you remove SS01 then you have 14 ports ?

SS03 is the USB port next to the HDMI port so sorted there we go.

Its SS01 and SS02 for the type C 

So my SSDT is correct as is then?

Yes, that's right.  Sorry my mistake with SS03, i should have known. Then SSDT is good. Do you have cable attached from case to F_USB30C ?

Here's a screen shot of the ports with a USB 3 drive connected too ss03 and my type c drive connected to ss01 and then flipped and connected too ss02

Good, though I initially set SS09 & SS10 connector to internal.  Though It seems it also works when set to USB3.

You can drop HS07, as that is including USB2 with that back USB3 port. It's not really needed. As plenty of other USB2.0 enabled such as HS09, HS10 and HS13.

On the front of case, the two  blue USB3.0 ports are those HS09, SS09, SS09, SS10 ? and if you can let me know if the front USB ports on the case are connected to motherboard header F_USB30C  or  connected to F_USB30.

Yes HS09, SS09, HS10, SS10 are connected and running at there correct speeds and there are connected to the two usb3.0 blue ports on the front of the case and are connected via F_USB3.0 and then F_USB30C connects to the type c port of the case with its own cable.

I've got a keyboard, mouse, natuve instruments audio 6 and a usb bluetooth 4.0 key in HS13 and I want to keep the front usb ports HS09, HS10 clear for when I need them and that's why I felt the need to inject SS07 with USB 2.0 too.

Is my logic correct there buddy?

So do you mean I can drop HS07 and leave the USB2.0 hub and devices connected too SS07 and it will work?

I'm sure it wouldn't work on the original SSDT, its one of the reasons I wanted to make the one I did.

Do I need to do the fix listed on here for that?

Appreciate your fantastic help, I do not have front USB C on my chassis /case. So now everyone using guide will know that SS01 & SS02 are connected to motherboard header F_USB30C.

That's right, as far as I also know the Z390 doesn't have native nvram, but it is not a problem as iMessage's etc will still work. 

 

When installing Windows, ensure it is installed as uefi (gpt) not mbr. Use Rufus to create Windows USB installer. Then install macOS Mojave on another drive. Before installing Mojave, removed the windows drive from PC, after Mojave is installed you can then place windows drive back into PC. At Clover bootloader, you will have choice of Windows or Mojave.

 

I'm using the i7 8700 as I do not overclock my machine and and the CPU with it's hyperthreading (12 threads) more than meets my needs. Other coffee lake CPUs will work with guide such as i9 9900k.

 

I have the Z390 Aorus Pro ( non WiFi version ) the Aurus Pro Z390 WiFi is not supported in macOS. So if you get the Aorus Pro with WiFi , then WiFi will only work in Windows.

 

You will have to purchase a WiFi card that has native support in macOS

Ah, yeah I think I'll also opted for the non K version, the price difference in my country is substantial. That should hold me for a few years at least and if I have the budget I can always upgrade to i9 9900k in the future.

 

Unfortunately there's no seller selling the non-wifi version in my country

 

One last question, I'm planning to use m2 drive (adata sx8200), will the mac be able to detect it? Otherwise I can always use normal sata SSD and use the m2 drive for windows instead.

I have never used adata sx8200 drives, so can't confirm if how good it is with Hackintosh build. I use either Samsung EVO or Sandisk SSD / M.2 drives,  if considering Samsung avoid the EVO Plus drives.  

If you dual boot and mostly use Windows, then consider going with a SATA SSD disc for installing macOS. Sometimes when installing Windows updates, the Windows bootloader can interfere with Clover bootloader. 

So it is easy to disconnect the SATA cable from a SSD drive that has macOS than it is to remove an m.2 drive with Windows from inside PC when performing Windows update , Windows Image backups, new Windows installations.

I was just using your SSDT, all good. In my default SSDT, SS09 and SS010 are set as connecter type internal in my Aorus EFI folders. So when I mounted an external drive the icon mounted would show as:

 

   

 

but now using your SSDT with connector set a USB3 external icon is now correctly shown as:

 

 

So motherboard internal header F_USB30 has connector type USB3 and is not Internal. Interestingly they both work at correct speed regardless.

 

Will later include your SSDT inside Aorus Pro EFI folders.
