Try the above for me and see if it happens to you buddy? I put system to sleep, waited for 1 minute and shutdown. Upon shutdown I noticed the led's on motherboard appear to stay on, but all fan's all off. Upon staring I can boot back into macOS without any problem. Then if I shutdown, it shut's down normally and no led's are on. So seem that led's on are isolated to when waking system from sleep and then shutting down. Yes Sometimes.that happens but sometimes it will take two or three attempts to turn back on and then sometimes it will start up and then turn back off and back on again. I've had a boot panic after trying to start mojave after It happened and its kicked in my back up bios once. This is over repeated tests trying to see what was causing it. Very strange things happening with BIOS, I didn't get a BIOS splash page for several reboots, unable to get back into BIOS, LEDs staying on, etc. Did a CMOS reset to get back to normal, but seeing if it happens again. No worries, if your BIOS backup kicked in then refresh your BIOS with latest. 1 - Consecutive Startup, Restart and shutdown is good 2 - Sleep then Wake and shutdown, led’s on motherboard stay on. 3 - Start up from ( sleep, wake , shutdown, leds on ) is good 4 - Consecutive Normal startup and shutdown is good Though I have not had any other issues, possibly because you have made major changes to system ( 3 different memory drivers over time ) the BIOS firmware has flaked out, a new DSDT on top could be the straw that broke the camels back so to speak . I recall my BIOS backup kicking in before using DSDT, that was when I was experimenting with other OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi alternatives and making lots of changes in BIOS. Sometimes a DSDT extracted & patched from one machine does not transfer well to another, even if the machines are identical. Sometimes a simple BIOS setting change can be reason to extract & repatch a replacement DSDT. The new EFI, on my hack dispite the wake / shutdown and led issue seems slightly faster. Also the benefit of having native NVRAM, seems to make a difference as I noticed it is difficult to disable SIP within macOS so far more secure. Was initially hesitant to post the new EFI with DSDT given above, I did keep the non DSDT folders alive at bottom of post. AudioGod
@tasc Your find it will start happening again even after a bios reset, I just tried that and it's back to freaking out. @glasgoodI Think I'm gonna revert back to my older EFI for now cos the only time I've seen behaviour like this is when ive come across a bad overclock thats failed under test and crashed windows and then trys to restart and it all freaks out so to me that says power isn't being sent around the board or to the cpu quite right after wake as something is probably throwing an error (maybe via the dsdt?) when the system resumes from sleep. AudioGod
@glasgood My build has gone backwards tbh in the last few days. It scoring high but doesnt feel right anymore and I'm getting to much strangeness going on for my liking. I guess you doing the dsdt and the rx580 has totally thrown my build even with the efi altered for my setup. Oh well it was good while it last buddy and I know you have enough on your plate so il leave it there. Thanks for your help fella Update- I just put a meter/scope in between my psus 24pin and again on the cpus 8pin connectors and motherboard and watched the power flow this time and sure enough power is still feeding though on a few pins after shut down hence the leds staying on until the psu cuts them out. I would look into that if I was you buddy because if it's happening to me then the chances are it's happening to other people too and something could end up going pop. Thanks for your help fella I'm with @AudioGod on this and I've rolled back to the iMac19,1 no DSDT build. The ACPI boot errors I mentioned earlier are now gone as well, so I think this one is safer for me (even with the aptio-free driver). I've had zero problems with this original build, but I'm such a sucker for tinkering with it

There is no kernel panic shown on your video, your install us shutting down for restart hence unmounting. When computer restarts, you need to pres F12 and boot from your USB installer then choose "boot macOs from install macOs Mojave " However, if you still have problems. Then try recreating USB installer and use this PRE-INSTALL Aorus Pro Z390 EFI - RX580.zip I tried everything you said and followed your guide again: still no success. Everytime it just shows 3min left. Is the i5 9600k the problem? Is your tutorial only working for the i7 8700k? I have attached the log of the Installer a second before the reboot as requested. If you enable erp then you get the freak outs I was getting and continued power though pins 4 and 7 on the cpu 8 pin and also a few pins on the 24pin motherboard power. With erp disabled and power platform power management enabled or disabled the motherboards leds stay on when you power down due to various 24pin lanes staying open. Thank goodness for my tools of the trade or theres no way to ever no that...lol I'm guessing that when @larabee has a try he is going to get the same freak outs with hes motherboard as I do as we run the same bios settings. nikhil96widhani
Hi What efi should i use if i only run igpu? I dont have rx580. Last efi had igpu version but this one doesn’t. I use igpu for mac and nvidia 2070 for windows. Thanks
larabee
@AudioGod @glasgood I turn on, wait a few minutes for system to stable, then sleep. My LED are on for the next 1 mins, then all turns off except for Network Light sometimes turns on for network access (powernap) Then I hit the power on button, system turns on instantly. The wake is really fast, like faster than anything I've had before. Then I turn off the system. LEDs turn off normally. However, the issue appear is when I hit the power button to turn it on, it takes 4 attempts to turn on my machine. I thought my power button is broken so I just short the motherboard pins just in case, takes 3-4 times to make it on again after the procedure. tasc
@glasgood quick question on the changes that happened with SSDT and config when you went from iMac19,1 to iMacPro1,1 (this is all pre-DSDT era). the iMac uses SSDT-GPRW.aml the iMac pro uses SSDT-EC.aml I noticed in the clover config for both builds that it has a patch that references SSDT-GPRW: <string>XPRW change Method(GPRW,2,N) to XPRW, pair with SSDT-GPRW.aml</string> So I was trying to figure out why the GPRW is no longer in ACPI patched for iMacPro. The other thing I saw missing in the pro config was the patch to change XHCI to XHC, is that no longer needed? <string>change XHCI to XHC</string> My graphics slot disabler SSDT patch started working after I added these changes back in - strange. Thanks!

SSDT-EC.aml was used along with USBPorts.kext for USB power management. I retained XPRW change Method patch in the new EFI config.plist and have it disabled, so if anyone needed to use it they just have to drop SSDT-GPRW.aml into Clover ACPI patched folder and enable patch in config.plist. The patch disables wake on all usb devices. 3 hours ago, tasc said: The other thing I saw missing in the pro config was the patch to change XHCI to XHC, is that no longer needed? <string>change XHCI to XHC</string> No it is no longer needed, XHCI to XHC rename is done. 3 hours ago, larabee said: I turn on, wait a few minutes for system to stable, then sleep. CEC 2019 enabled seems to help and stops the power staying live but the leds seen to lose power when they fancy it but you shouldn't need to enable cec 2019, that's a big no no according to my boss at work. It's a power saving mode/standard so To see if its effecting the system run a bench test of your choice and check the total power consumption while testing then turn it off and run the same test and see if the total consumption rises. If it does then the system is being power throttled when its enabled.
