If the flash failed, I still have a radeon VII on the way to replace it btq, What kind of memory chip do you have in your Pulse? Remember your pulse has a dual bios anyway so if it does fail just flick to the secondary bios and off you go again. It wont fail anyway don't worry your be fine. Just take your time and if your reading the flash guide then read it twice...lol I've got samsung memory in my pulse and I don't want to flash it into a Vega 64. My oc on it is flying high so I'm happy with that. Did you try the oc setting I posted for you on your gpu?

Let me test the OC before and after BIOS flash to see if there's any change. Every time I run a stress test, I will be greeted with a kernel panic when restart to Mac OS. I've pushed it a bit more with 1090 mv P7 at 1675 Mhz Core and a 940Mhz Memory. I've been running it 100% load for the last 5 hours (5 more hours to go). Will let you know in approx 10 hours haha. Haha awesome buddy I haven't had a single kernel panic since the reflash. One other thing, if you have samsung evo drives in any shape or form then make sure they are all on the latest firmwares including the macos ssd if it's a samsung. My macos drive was on a old firmware and my 2 ssd drives on my windows side were up to date and I noticed it was causing a few panics on start up too. But honestly now I cant find a single thing wrong with the setup. My build will even wake up and check emails and go back to sleep and also wakes for iMessage and facetime. Dare I say it but it has less problems then my shoddy ex top of the range 2017 dustbin lid pro. How ironic Edited June 25, 2019 by AudioGod
AudioGod
@larabee I got forgot to say that I did my gpu oc with a power meter between my wall socket and the systems power and worked out by my calculations that where I have it set is the sweet spot for how much power its drawing against how much frequency its giving out. I could be wrong but it sure looks like the sweet spot to me and my meter...lol I'm such a nerd that I even have a graph of my results...ops! The more the better, I use my computer as a room heater sometimes when it gets a bit chilly haha. Let's see if I can get the new BIOS running and eliminate the stability issue of ATI frame buffer panic. I may have a faulty memory chip because everytime it gets very hot after a while, it will fail to boot to MAC OS. And about the Samsung SSD, yeah I will need to check those firmwares. It's been a while since I last check those. I used to have the dustbin Mac Pro. It's so bad haha.

I don't want to get your Hope's up incase it is a deeper problem for you but again before the bios flash I too was getting all sorts of errors and driver reset messages after long use in windows or when I flicked back and forth from macos to windows. I'm convinced it's the bios freaking out clover and that's also why my resolution was stuck on size big and ugly at the clover start up screen. Since the flash I've had no such problems. I hope it works for you buddy, good luck Edited June 25, 2019 by AudioGod

Sceme29
Hey @glasgood, Thanks to your great guide i was able to get everything running. I am coming across a very cumbersome issue though when finally booting up Mac os from the SSD. I can't get my Magic mouse to work at all, it's weird because it works if i boot the os from the Usb installer. I am using the Post EFI Rx580 from the 1st page and I did disable the bluetooth on hs14 to see if that would fix it but no luck. I am pretty positive this is a simple fix but i have been searching and trying different things to get it to work, Help please. I hope it works for you buddy, good luck I flashed the BIOS and i'm conducting a 500 power cycle on and off test with some stress tests in between. I'm at 230th cycle and managed to generate 1 kernel panic with ATI frame buffer and 1 kernel cache hang. When that happened, I saw my gigabyte bios is freaking out and reset itself. Since I'm technically using the same config as yours, the problem may be deeper on my rig, possibly a combination of bad Hynix memory on my Pulse or bad RAM module, and motherboard bios corruption. I've never once had my mb bios corrupt on me so I'm inclined to agree with you buddy. Have you tried running a memory test a bit more challenging then windows own or memtestx86? Try hci MemTest, that's the hardest of them all to pass so if it is coming from there that will find it. Edited June 27, 2019 by AudioGod

Gigabyte @bios has failed to flash sometimes on my motherboard, that's why I put it there as a possibility. BTW, so far so good with the Bios. It seems to takes overclock more gently than the previous ones and the voltage delivery to video memory chip seems better.

That's good to hear that the flash was positive for you. It solved every single nagging problem I had in mojave, clover boot startup and windows so I'm super chuffed myself. Have you still got the purple lines at startup on mojave? I only noticed today but they have gone now too. Wowzers!!!

Did you disable CSM in the bios after the flash and while testing? Also one thing I do different then the guide is I have ERP enabled and for me it's much more positive then having it disabled. Just as a test put your system under the same conditions in the bios as mine and then try again and while your testing turn off any overclocks just in case. @larabee Oh and I nearly forgot, if you are overclocking your 9900k and have a AVX offset of any sort then make sure your ring bus is running no higher then 43 as it will cause memory and gpu freak outs that synthetic tests wont see. Found one to be the most stable for me so far: iMac Pro 1.1 SMBIOS to make use of Vega hardware power !!! (it's much faster than quicksync for my usage) iGPU ---> Disabled (iMac Pro doesn't have iGPU) CSM ---> Disabled (enabling it causes some random problems on startup for me) VT-D ---> Disabled (say bye bye to my virtual machines performance but it's necessary for my rig) ERP ---> Enabled (it lets the system consume less than 1W in S5 state, fully power down. Some how it resettle the BIOS and causes less problem during startup) I'll test more with radeon VII to see if my Vega has some hardware issues. In terms of hackintosh settings, I think we pretty much nailed this.

I should probably turn it into imac pro too I just haven't bothered and left it as it was when it was the rx580. I'm relying on Final Cut Pro, so any performance gains in that regard is pretty much a must for me. If you're not running apps that rely on GPU, then it's best to leave SMBIOS at 19.1
wdopulencia
Hi! I have a question. For the EFI stuff, what do I do if I have a different one from the given above, I am using MSI ARMOR RX 570, intel i5 9600k and gigabyte z390 aorus pro. Where or how do I get the compatible EFI for mine? Or does the EFI provided above works with mine? Thanks! Sceme29
Hey all, So i have everything running smooth except one thing..... My bluetooth. I have not been able to figure out why it is not working. My wifi works just fine, i have seen multiple threads with his same issue but no real answer. I attempted to disable the wifi/bt port in the hope this would fix it. If anyone who can possibly help me out or point me in the right direction id greatly appreciate it as its the last thing i need to fix since i am planning on buying the magic keyboard. Thanks! Cipha
Thank you so much for this guide! Super easy to follow. I set up my first Hackintosh in about 2 hours with Win 10 Dual Boot! I have a quick question though: In the Settings it now says i9 9900k but I'm running a i7 9700k. Do I need to change this to make it run more stable? Or is this just text? If so, could you please explain how to? Thank you in advance
