AudioGod
Hey Buddy I hope your well, Quick question if you don't mind? Ive got a bluetooth 4.0 dongle and it works just fine but I don't have options for airdrop anywhere and I'm invisible to a iPad or iPhone. is this because I'm not using a wifi/bluetooth pcie card or should airdrop be working with my current bluetooth dongle? You can try and use AirDrop over Ethernet, not sure if it will work. defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser BrowseAllInterfaces 1 killall Finder To disable Airdrop over Ethernet: defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser BrowseAllInterfaces 0 Edited June 2, 2019 by glasgood

What one would you recommend? Theres one on Amazon that's 39.99 that claims its compatible, would that do? [New Version] ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 PCI-Express (PCI-E) BCM943602CS Combo Card For Hackintosh (MAC OS X) Airport Computers, Supports Hands-off https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MBP25UK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_T7.8CbWVND571 Also I'm going to need to add a internal USB splitter as I'm using both already. That shouldn't be a problem should it? Thanks for your help as always buddy Edited June 2, 2019 by AudioGod

I'm using the >> BCM94331CD from an iMac ( it does required AirportBrcmFixup.kext ) and PCI-e adapter. Possibly safer to have the Wifi/Bluetooth combo cards 9 pin connected separately to F_USB2 header and USB splitter attached onto F_USB1 header if possible, but might not make any difference.

Thank you for that buddy, awesome.

I tested auto sleep and Hack returned from sleep (worked) when pressing power button. Here is screenshot of my sleep settings viewed in Hackintool. Hifi33
Weird, I was just about to post my screenshot of my Power Saving panel as I didn't see the Power Nap etc any longer, and I see your panel does not have the option there either. I am having some difficulty connecting to the build over the network once it is asleep. Plex, Media Servers etc. so I am trying to locate the issue. Turned on File Sharing in Sharing prefs, and will see what that does. Sleep works fine, just won't wake over network.

eSaF
If I may be bold and jump in - Looking at the 'Energy Saver' posted, I noticed a choice of only 4 settings offered where as mine has 5 (See included pic - The Mac Model I chose is 17.1). Would I be right in thinking it goes according to Mac Model used, I am just curious. Edited June 3, 2019 by eSaF

As far as I know, there are a few versions of the BCM943602CS with different number of antenna, some have 3 and 4. Someone recently mentioned having lag and resolved issue by replacing the card. What happens if you move machine nearer the wireless router, does anything improve.

Hi @nelio33 Try adding the following hot patch to config.plist. Wifi cards are listed under ARPT in macOS and not PXSX. It's not essential that you should need to rename PXSX to ARPT for working WiFi, but in this instance it may be helpful. So here are the steps: Identify the address, bellow PXSX may be rooted under RP08 Using Clover configurator apply the following Hot Patch : Find Device: _SB.PCI0.RP08.PXSX ( PXSX is attached to a different root then use that root address. So here my root for PXSX is RP08 ) Rename: ARPT Save Clover Configurator Shutdown / and start Hackintosh ( may cause a kernel panic on restart, if it does just restart Hackintosh ) Check that rename has taken effect ( So, _SB.PCI0.RP08.PXSX is now _SB.PCI0.RP08.ARPT ) Hope this is helpful ? AudioGod
Hi Buddy, Side note for you....My sleep and wake under power saver or by manually putting the system to sleep works perfectly without any of the changes that you needed to do. The only difference between me and you is I have erp enabled you you have it disabled so I set it to disabled on my build too and then experienced the same problems with sleep as you did. Do you want to test and see if that's the case for you too? I thought you might wanna know anyway

I thought you might wanna know anyway Hi @AudioGod I don't think Wake on Lan will work with ERP enabled, so this would effect "Wake for network access" in Energy Saver. I had a read through ERP and there seems to be pro's (motherboard allowing itself to full power down) and cons such as Wake on Lan or charging USB device ( Apple wireless Keyboard & Mouse users ) Moreover, I don't like how computer briefly automatically powers on and off when power cord is plugged into ac outlet / socket ( without me pressing power on button on computer chassis / case ). Though, there may be away to stop the automatic power on by using AC BACK BIOS setting. But thanks anyway, always appreciate other point of view. nelio33
Hello I found my problem, I'm ashamed lol , the wifi terminal was limited in power to 25% I had to configure it several years ago to protect my brain from fukushima radiation ... I get a proper navigation now, and the speed is more better, I think the limiting factor is the access point "EX3700" I use little wifi, I just wanted to test this card with which I can not still not having imessage and facetime. Do you think the second card choice (work with kext) would be better with imessage and facetime?
glasgood
UPDATE Noticed that immediate sleep would not work when going to menu bar and choosing the 'Sleep" option ( when energy saver had a timer set for sleep ) and there was a problem with sleep when using Energy Saver option in the System Preferences where the display would sleep and computer would stay awake, enabling "Platform Power Management" in BIOS resolves this. It seems that there is loss of Audio when resume from sleep in certain instance. When using following settings below, audio will resume on wake from sleep. When using following settings below, audio will not resume ( NO AUDIO ) on wake from sleep. To resolve loss of audio from wake from sleep, use files attached files and follow steps below FILES CodecCommander.kext.zip SSDT-ALC1220.aml.zip STEPS Add: SSDT-ALC11220.aml ( this works with CodecCommander.kext to fix / enable sound after wake ) Add: CodecCommander.kext Use sorted order SHUTDOWN - THEN START

Madane
Thats weird.. I never experience any audio loss so I never had to apply the SSDT-ALC11220.aml and CodecCommander.kext fix. Could it be because of the layout-id 7 since that fixed the volume jumps up and down with front headphone/audio out ports I experienced when using the default layout-id 1 ?

glasgood
@Madane reported using Audio ID layout 7 resolved no Audio on wake issue, so had a look at AppleALC Info.plist and found Layout ID 16 specified for Gigabyte Z390. So Audio Layout ID 16 with its WakeConfigData resolves no audio on wake issue. CodecCommander.kext and SSDT-ALC1220.aml are no longer needed. EFI's updated. Post-Install EFI folders have updated AppleALC.kext with Layout ID 16. Have removed CodecCommander.kext and SSDT-ALC1220.aml If updating AppleALC and applying new layout ID 16 and you have no sound on reboot, then you need to remove some Properties from Clover / Devices, Keep Intel Graphics Property -> PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) . Then use Hackintool to export new pcidevices.plist and then add back to properties.
