Hi! Newbie here.

Been browsing the forums for a while and trying to setup a Mojave 10.14.3 with the following hardware:

  • Motherboard: ga-z370n-wifi - BIOS revision F5
  • CPU: Intel i7-8700k
  • RAM: G.Skillz Trident Z 32gb (2x 16gb) DDR4-3000
  • HDD: Samsung 860 Evo M.2 1 TB
  • PSU: Corsair RX750

USB used is 2.0

I've run into an issue where I'm trying to load the installer, but I am getting a panic error before getting to the Grey install screen.

Followed this guide:

See attached Screenshot for kernel panic.

If I need to provide more info, let me know and I'll do my best to provide the info :)

Also i'm not sure how to get the panic logs since I don't get shell unless I boot into single-user mode. (That of which I noticed a panic error whenever I try to run diskutil from single user mode)

With Clover installer i had no issues starting when i replaced the Config.plist for Coffeelake from this website.

I used this Youtube as a guide.

That was on a GA-Z370m-D3H its been running a couple of weeks now ..

I followed the video exactly and i still came up with the above error.

Do you think it makes a difference if it booted from panic?

I don't believe it would make any difference.

I noticed for a system model Mac Mini 8,1 has been selected have . you tried to select something else?

This is mine you just select from the dropdown in Clover.

Thanks. What hardware to you have? the same?
I tried iMac 18,1. I can try a different one.

Do i need to clear the Serial # and Serial UUID or leave them auto-generated?

So i had tried installing windows 7 on the computer, but it seems that I can reach the install screen, but the usb keyboard suddenly stops working. All my USB ports are 3.0 and i don't have any 2.0 ones. I tired both wireless and wired keyboard.

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z370m-D3H Motherboard which is very similar it also only has USB3 & 3.1 ports and Intel i7 8700 .

I never reset the serials i just tried a couple of different Models until i found one the mostly every thing worked straight up, now the only issue i have is the sleep issue which seems to be common..

So the odd thing is that i can't even boot to the installer. Can't seem to figure out what the issue might be.
