osx151212
Hello, Is there anywhere a list of budget video cards good for Mojave? I have tested Geforce 8400 GT, Geforce 9500 GT, Geforce GTX 460 and Geforce GTX 650 Ti. Geforce 8400 GT -- allows to install and works Ok in Mojave, but DVD player does not work (no video, only sound) Geforce 9500 GT -- allows to install and works Ok in Mojave, but DVD player does not work (no video, only sound) Geforce GTX 460 -- allows to install and works Ok in Mojave, but DVD player does not work (no video, only sound) Geforce GTX 650 Ti -- works well in Mojave, DVD player works well (video and sound) Geforce 8400 GT -- works well in Sierra and High Sierra Geforce 9500 GT -- works well in Sierra and High Sierra Georce GTX 460 -- works well in Sierra and High Sierra Note: Mojave has been installed on a systems with LGA 775 CPU E7500/E8400/E8500 which do not have SEE4.2 instructions. On first boot (where a user account assumed to be created) boot process will reboot as only graphics mode activated. Work around -- requires to replace com.apple.telemetry.plugin with included in attachment osx151212 com.apple.telemetry.plugin.zip Edited October 28, 2018 by osx151212 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336170-mojave-budget-video-cards/ Share on other sites
Menelkir
So, how good is GTX 650 TI to everything else? Any glitches? Did you tested more GPU intensive stuff? luki1979
Don't forget AMD cards. I got 7970 for £60 of eBay. Works natively in Mojave, no hacks needed at all. It performs so much better than my previous GTX680 which was running very hot. Also with 3GB ram you can still game on it on high settings most games. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336170-mojave-budget-video-cards/#findComment-2659864 Share on other sites
