@Badruzeus I am using those drivers. A lot of them are not necessary because I don't use FileVault but I still have them inside of there in case I change my mind one days. Anyhow, it's not an issue with these I guess since it works absolutely fine with FakeSMC. Never had a single kernel panic prior before the switch and can make the random panics go away by switching back to FakeSMC.

Regarding the preboot log: I guess that won't help much when no kernel panic occurs. Is there a way to generate it with every boot so I can catch a kernel panic?

No idea with your panic issue then, anyway these drivers seem could be excluded on your case (with FV disabled):

- AppleImageCodec

- AppleKeyAggregator

- AppleKeyFeeder

- AppleUITheme

- FirmwareVolume

- VirtualSmc

Also not sure if these drivers are needed:

- OsxFatBinaryDrv

- PartitionDxe

CMIIW; I use this VirtualSMC v1.0.1 on my 10.11.6 up to 10.14.1 Beta (and found no issue, except my laptop battery is not well recognized, yet), OFC.. it'll be diff. result on diff. mach.

We could press "F2" upon Clover GUI to generate "preboot.log" and it'll be saved on "/EFI/CLOVER/misc", at least we'll know which kexts used as well.

Few things I noticed is you are renaming 2 different devices to EC device plus loading a SSDT for EC. Conflicts?

64-bits Driver to support non-usual partition maps such as: hybrid GPT/MBR or Apple Partition Map.

@vit9696 Getting an error in kernel log about VirtualSMC, not using VirutalSMC.efi only using VirtualSMC.kext and SMCProcesser.kext.

I think this is still issue with VSMC .. Me and another member get problem too .. or maybe related with smbios models, so far that I know the problem came with MacPro smbios, me, pavo n some friends use MacPro models..

@pavo: Doesn't cause conflict. The renamed EC isn't picked up by macOS. AppleBusPowerController is only loaded on the fake EC. Thanks for reminding me about removing those ACPI renames. Totally forgot about them. :thumbsup_anim:

With the new version (1.0.1) of the VirtualSMC and SMCBatteryManager plugin (1.0.0d1), I can't see the battery percentage at Menubar.

Even if I click to show it (System Preferences > Energy), is not possible, it is unchecked automatically.

had an issue this morning with virtualsmc had to revert back to fakesmc as i would have a kp not sure if any other users encountered this so thought i would make aware of this issues , am using asus z370-p i9 9900k

Did you need patch dsdt for battery before??? Maybe you must apply the patch again

Got this error when i want to compile VirtualSMC.kext for now,, i check there is new change at kern_vsmapi.cpp 5 days ago. I can compile it before with no error. Any clue @vit9696????

@Andres ZeroCross, I believe you have outdated Lilu SDK.

@nms, sure, releases need thorough testing, and we try to release things simultaneously and not very often to avoid people having to upgrade many times. The next update will have to arrive close to 10.14.1, as there are certain breaking issues. The reason we do not hurry at present is that 10.14.0 works fine, and we still want to at least try to land some important changes in the current release.

You probably already know this, but macOS 10.14.1 will be out this week - mostly likely after the Apple event on Tuesday. We haven't had an Xcode seed for 2 weeks, which is usually the tell-tale sign that a release is about to land.

Yeah, you're right. I try to compile debug of lilu first and use it to compile VirtualSMC.kext. And process is done with no error

On my ONDA V919 CoreM it have same problem with you.

With SMCBatteryManager then it show no battery but with ACPIBatteryManager by RehabMan it works fine.

I have already patched the dsdt.

I think it related to "ACPIPollDelay".

To prove it, try to plug off charger dan plug in again. If battery indicator show then ACPIPollDelay problem

It show no battery in system preference but ACPIBatteryManager with no problem.

Yes i know, the real macbook has same problem. Sometimes need plug off and plug in your charger kan solve the problem. And with APFS of format system, battery indicator will has same problem to with acpibatterymanager.kext with certain device. Need to modify "AcpiPollDelay". Sorry for bad english
