Yuu huu, updated to macOS Mojave Beta 7 (18A365a) on my pretty old Asus A43SJ laptop, finally.. uhmmb, for testing "Microsoft Office 2019 for Mac Preview" but.., this new office app still has no DarkMode appearance, or Microsoft just make it like that.

Oh, I need using DP 1 to get Beta 7 update notif (bcoz, DP 1 is the only full installer I have #LoL), w/o any BetaUtility installed. Thanks.

Well Mojave has a new USB port limit patch, so without that patch this could be your issue.

Didn't work. I've also downloaded the macOS Mojave again from the App Store and create a bootable USB, it still didn't work. I also tried to install Mojave directly from the 10.13, the same error comes up over and over again. Perhaps, it's something to do with Clover config file or any of the drivers that I should or shouldn't have.

Also, the default behaviour should be to convert the JHFS+ volume to APFS on both HDD and SSD, which isn't being done by the installer.

I didn't see any visible changes at all in MS Office 2019 from the latest update of MS Office 2016.

New patch script.

It works fine with 10.14 db1 ~ db6, and future version for CPU SSE4.1 as E8400.

mojave2core.zip

Thank you!

Is it possible to copy new patch script on usb drive and run from it, because my drive is apfs and I don't have write access from Windows.

yes

windows:

copy to mac installer usb/mojave2core

clover:

boot to mac installer usb

Run Terminal:

cp /mojave2core /Volumes/1014name/usr/bin/mojave2core

chmod +x /Volumes/1014name/usr/bin/mojave2core

/Volumes/1014name/usr/bin/mojave2core

done.

1014name is your 10.14 volume name.

It seems you're one update behind. Here's the latest version with supposedly dark mode(!)

Thank you, but right now I don't have installer on my usb, only clover. If I boot with -s is it possible to use the same commands?

No way. I think. you need a bootable mac hfs partition to copy it into from Windows.

Ok, thank you! I'll create installer usb from windows and wll use terminal from it. One last question - I already have the old patch script in usr/bin … is this commands overwrite it?

Thanks for this patch which also working for Mojave beta7 in my ASUS P5Q PRO hackintosh with CPU Core2 Extreme X9650 which is similar to E8400 without SSE 4.2 support.

My suggestion is use the single phase install-method as 10.12 via @dosdude1's macOS Mojave patcher or common single-phase MBR-Manual-Method.

It will work for you.

It worked (as I also presumed). Although I've always preferred createinstallmedia method, I wasn't able to install Mojave using this method. I wonder what have I missed.

@crazybirdy I get some errors when running the script. I can't find a way to put the script file directly on the root of the USB, so I put it in the installer partition.

Clover boot -s to single user mode to apfs system /macOS.

PS: your cp command is wrong. Need copy again.

Try to rename "Image Volume" to single name.

or add \ as "Image\ Volume" when you use cp.

@ANONIMNIQ

Try this new script, it should work on mac installer, needn't boot to apfs partition.

Q5-mojave2core/mojave2core

windows:

copy to mac installer/mojave2core

clover:

boot to mac installer

Run Terminal:

cp /mojave2core /Volumes/1014name/usr/bin/mojave2core

chmod +x /Volumes/1014name/usr/bin/mojave2core

/Volumes/1014name/usr/bin/mojave2core

done.

You want to install to a mobile hard disk.

It could be USB issue, if you install to normal hard disk, it should work, I think.

I've also tried to install it in the HDD, the same error came up. I've downloaded 10.14 multiple times (in case the download may be broken), nothing changes. The most astonishing thing is that: it doesn't convert the installation partition to APFS (I've also tried installing in an APFS partition, which didn't work either).

Not really sure, but.. have you manually updated newer Platform Datas on SMBios section of config.plist? Or, try using diff. SMBios version.
